Case Conclusion Date: 03.21.2011
Practice Area: Slip and fall accident
Outcome: Settlement of $350,000
Description: My client was injured when the hotel failed to place warning signs out while it was watering plants. As a result, the employee sprayed the sidewalk where guests were expected to walk. My client unfortunately walked through the area while the ground was still wet, causing her to fall to the ground injuring her knee. She had to have three surgeries resulting in medical bills of approximately $45,000 to repair her knee. We were able to show that company policy required the landscaping crew to always put out wet floor warning signs prior to beginning any watering, which they failed to do in this instance.
