Mr Montgomery was referred to me in a civil forfeiture case involving my business, my home, my vehicles and my life savings. All were seized by the County Attorney's office. Mr Montgomery explained the timeline, but not much else. While he did return phone calls, he rarely initiated contact, nor did he send copies of court documents. I had to make 5 trips downtown to print out my own copies for my records. When a settlement conference was scheduled, Mr Montgomery gave "yes" and "no" answers, without making points on my behalf. I lost everything. A year after the case concluded, I had a conversation with another attorney in passing, who educated me more in a 15 minute talk than in the 2 years of Mr Montgomery's representation. While my outcome may have been the same no matter which lawyer I hired, I realize now all my stress and the heart condition that arose from my situation and all of the sleepless nights I experienced, should not have occurred. I should have had better representation for the money I paid.
I would absolutely NOT recommend Mr Montgomery. He is a nice guy, probably was a good lawyer when younger, but for any serious matter, look elsewhere.

He is super knowledgeable about all DUI ins and outs and was able to get my DUI thrown out without going to Trial. Prosecutor had no choice but to dismiss the case.
