Family Law-related disagreements are among the most emotionally charged legal disputes. Without proper representation, your financial future, your family's future, and even your ability to visit and parent your children, can be negatively impacted.
In addition to traditional family law cases, we assist families dealing with:
High conflict matters;
Special needs kids;
Domestic Violence;
Substance Abuse; and
Depart of Child Safety.
We guide our strategy with every unique client by ensuring they are able to start their next chapter. Where children are involved, the goal of a successful outcome in a family law case is a safe and nurturing environment for the child, and this overriding objective lies at the core of our family law practice.
We understand legal costs are a burden, and they almost always arrive at the most difficult times in our lives. We pursued legal careers because of a strong desire to help others, and because others helped us along the way. We offer a variety of payment options including flat fee agreements, payment plans, and more.
Unlike many firms, we aren't chasing the next billable hour. In fact, contrary to the industry standards, we don't charge for telephone and email communication with our Clients. Our focus is on helping our clients through some of the toughest challenges in their lives, so we want you to get the information you need when you need it, and without being nickel and dimed. We look forward to answering any questions you may have.

Colleen Contreras, Founding Partner
It’s not common to find someone with a project management background - detail-oriented, meticulous to the core - who then, at the flip of a switch, can bring a compassionate perspective to the table. Wrap this all up with a legal background, and you’ve got Colleen Contreras.
Prior to embarking on her legal career, Colleen ran a consulting practice aimed at providing project management services to philanthropic foundations. She later worked closely with children with a range of disabilities, providing an invaluable perspective on the day-to-day struggles of this particular population. A graduate of the University of Phoenix (Bachelor of Science, Business Administration), a Juris Doctor degree from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law, a certified Project Management Professional, and a Certificate in Law, Science, and Technology with a focus in Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Colleen’s career evolved into the law because she believed a change in the system was not only possible but necessary. Families need support during life’s tough transitions from someone who gets it.
Colleen brings a big heart, the precision of a project management professional, and the legal acumen of a lawyer to her clients each and every day. Plus, it all arrives with a contagious smile!

I 1000% endorse this lawyer. Colleen shifts the focus in divorce back to the children - where it should be. She has extensive experience working with high conflict divorces, including divorces with special needs children. Her innovative thinking and conflict resolution focused practice is unprecedented in our field, and Colleen will undoubtedly be a pioneer and key innovator in developing methodology to move the field of Family Law forward.
