My practice emphasizes education law and employment law. I have represented several educational institutions and agencies, including public schools, the Arizona Department of Education, the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, educators and employees, and private sector employees. I have also represented public and private entities before federal and state administrative agencies, and in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Udall Shumway & Lyons, I served as an Assistant Attorney General, advising the Arizona Department of Education. I was also a partner in the law firm of Kerrin & Osborne in Phoenix, Arizona, with an emphasis on employment and education law and began my legal career with the law firm of Brooks & Fitzpatrick in Lexington, Kentucky. Prior to attending law school, I taught French and English to high school students in rural Eastern Kentucky.
I frequently speak before school administrators and employees at legal seminars and statewide conferences and write a legal advice column for the Charter School Monthly.
