Admonition and Probation issued in AZ, 2016
updated on 05/15/2016
An admonishment means the attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. While on probation, the State monitors the attorney's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
John's comment: “A former client wrote a bad review about my office and posted it publicly against me. I responded and explained the falsehoods alleged against me. The former client filed a bar complaint against me and the bar felt it was inappropriate for me to have responded as I did. An admonishment is the lowest form of discipline and is basically a statement to not respond in the future if faced with the same situation.”
