My family and I never thought we‘d need the services of a criminal defense lawyer. As blue and white collar workers we were living the American dream until one of my uncles was stopped for driving too slow as he drove home from a church function. Because of a prior felony for which he served time, ...he had his residency taken away and was deported. He illegally entered the country over 10 years ago and had been working, supporting his family and paying taxes. He was charged with The illegal entry which was aggravated by the prior felony and was looking at a possible sentence of at least 63-78 months in federal prison. We met with the public defense attorney and a private attorney and they steered us in the wrong direction. Extremely frustrated and scared, we sought the services of Mr. Suzuki who was recommended by someone who had hired him before. Mr. Suzuki advised us this was an unusual case. He also advised us he would do his best to get our uncle the least amount of time. While still disappointed and scared, my family and I chose to put all our trust in him. He dedicated all the time and effort necessary to present a solid case based on my uncle's great character. At sentencing the federal judge understood the case Mr. Suzuki presented and not only eliminated any additional time and ruled against what probation and the federal prosecutor recommended but, also wished my uncle well!! My uncle got time served and was freed to return to Mexico. At that point, that was all we wanted. We were overwhelmed with joy! Mr. Suzuki didn’t want to get our hopes up but knew deep inside the ending result was possible. Mr. Suzuki was always realistic and sincere with us about his concern for our family and my uncle. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Mr. Suzuki really is a cut above the rest.
