Recently my son was involved in a situation requiring the services of an attorney, for which we turned to Matthew Bartz. In the initial phone contact, he was very professional and informative where he explained all the options and possible outcomes. Subsequently, Mr. Bartz and his staff answered questions with patience and understanding. He kept my son informed at every step of the proceedings. Should I ever be asked if I could recommend an attorney, I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Bartz and the Suzuki Law Offices. Not only because of Mr. Bartz, but also all the staff with whom we had contact including Joel Thompson and Trish Baeza. His level of expertise was invaluable in helping my son through a difficult time. He facilitated a very positive outcome.

My past finally caught up with me but fortunately Mr. Bartz was with me every step of the way. The court decided to bring up charges that had been dropped. I had finally gotten my life together and had moved to New Mexico to start over and I was so scared that I would have to go back to Phoenix to serve time or do my probation there. Mr. Bartz got back to me the same day I called and his office made all of my court arraignments. My first appearance in court was terrifying. The prosecutor didn't want me to delay my sentencing so I could return back to New Mexico and finish my semester at the University of New Mexico. The prosecutor wanted my to fail out of school! I'm a 4.0 student and if the prosecutor had her way, my college career and my future would be ruined! Mr. Bartz advised me to take it the judge and ask her to delay sentencing. It was a gamble, but it paid off! I was able to return home to New Mexico and finish the semester. When I returned to Phoenix a few days ago for sentencing, I only received 18 months probation! I can be done in 9 months if I pay my fines and keep doing well. I can't recommend Mr. Bartz enough. He was incredible. His advice was spot on and he made this scary process as smooth and as easy as possible. Mr. Bartz is a fantastic and experienced lawyer that knows what he is doing and really cares. I can't thank him enough for everything he has done!

I selected Matt to assist with my son’s case, after speaking with a few attorneys. None of us knew the case would go on for almost 3.5 years from first contact to the end of the case. That is a long time for a case. Even so, Matt was there every step of the way, doing everything he could to help ensure the best outcome for my son’s case. Matt was extremely professional throughout the entire process. He was upfront with us all along the way about what to expect; he never sugar coated anything, which is what I wanted. Matt helped with my son’s case in more ways than I can count. I had some difficult times during those 3.5 years, when I became upset with the process, because I was so frightened about the potential outcome of my son’s case. Despite my fears, Matt not only maintained his composure and professional demeanor, he helped calm me down and bring me back down to earth. He was very understanding of the fact that I was, as a parent, on a very powerful emotional roller coaster. Matt made it possible for both my son and I to get to the end of that long ride with our sanity. Both my son and I were satisfied with the outcome of the case, which was substantially better than the original expectation. We are both very grateful for having had Matt on the case.

I have known Mr. Bartz since I started practicing law. I first worked with him when he was a prosecutor, and I now work with him as a defense attorney. He works hard for his clients and focuses on key legal issues that result in the best possible outcome for his clients.
