I hired this law firm in 2012 to represent me in a child custody case. The other party (mother) filed an Order of Protection, unbeknownst to me, which evicted me from my house and prohibited me from having contact with my 2 yr old daughter. I was a stay at home father for all 24 months of my daught...er's life, so needless to say, I was devestated. I requested a hearing to quash the order, but Deshon Pullen and Associates advised me advised me to not attend the hearing because they settled with opposing counsel to remove the child from the Order of Protection. The court cited that I failed to appear, and our stipulated agreement was denied without any explanation from Deshon Pullen and Associates. This firm did represent me at our Temporary Orders hearing, and the judge removed my daughter, awarded me joint custody and exclusive use of the marital residence...after not having ANY contact with my daughter for 3.5 months, after a Notice of Trustee Sale was filed to foreclose my home that I hadn't occupied for 3.5 months, and after they told me I had exhausted my $10,000 retainer. They withdrew from my case and emailed me a bill for an additional $2,000. My daughter is now 8 yrs old, and she lives with me most of the time, but when I think about my experience with this firm and my losses, I get nauseous.

My divorce wasnt a mutual one, so I had to hire an attorney post my ex had already looked around the part of town I live in. It was a blessing in disguise as I traveled farther away to find Deshon. I was really impressed with Deshon at the hearing, she was against another 10 rated lawyer in the town and the opponent was totally out of her element and Deshon was smart, poised and eloquent in her part of defense.
