Excellent Lawyer!

Aaron was excellent-- respectful, professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He knows the legal system, and he knows the Arizona court systems incredibly well; he helped me navigate what could have potentially been a criminal misdemeanor on my record and we ended up getting my entire case di...smissed! Each step of the way he made sure to explain what his strategy was and he advised me about what things I could do to help my own case, so I never felt lost, and I never felt like my own ability to defend myself was out of my own control. Even though he was working on multiple cases at the time in addition to my own, he was still there for me whenever I had a question. I highly recommend him!

Best outcome for a bad situation

I was arrested by Phoenix PD in May 2014. I blew and gave blood that confirmed a .26 BAC, luckily there was no accident or property damage. Aaron answered right away when I called him over the weekend and continued to be responsive (within an hour) via phone, text, email, etc the entire time of my pr...oceedings. I considered going to trial since financially it was within reach and I was hoping to keep my record clean. Aaron got two continuations of my trial date so I could think through my options and avoid tent city in the summer. I visited Aaron at his office twice and discussed my options at length. He laid out everything clearly and painted a realistic picture of the possible outcomes. Ultimately I took a plea because I had no case as to why I wasn't guilty and the plea was favorable: 3 days tent city + 11 days home detention + 18 month interlock. I could have gone to trial to argue my BAC down, but the reduced sentence if successful (unlikely) would not have been worth the time, money & energy of the trial process. My one issue was when it came to my sentencing paperwork for tent city. I tried to self surrender but at the jail they told me the judge didn't fill out the paperwork properly and I had to go back to court and fix it. Aaron agreed to go back to court for me after some convincing, but when I picked up the amended paperwork it had the same error. He should have double checked everything was filled out properly since that was the reason he was there in the first place. He said he was too busy to go back to court again, so I had to do it, which I did. Eventually I did my time in tent city and Aaron submitted the paperwork for that, the interlock, classes, etc to the courts, so I didn't have to go back for the sentence review. The extra trip to court was a minor inconvenience - but I thought that's what I was paying him for? oh well, in the end I am a satisfied customer - I recommend Aaron Black
