I am a third generation lawyer and fourth generation native to Arizona. My grandfather graduated from the University of Arizona Law School in 1929. My Father graduated from the University of Arizona Law School in 1959 and I graduated from the same school in 1989. Both my grandfather and father taught me not to take money from people that I do not truly feel that I can help. They both taught me to be honest with regard to my thoughts about a potential legal matter and to not make promises that I cannot keep. Although my grandfather passed away before I started practicing law, I was blessed with the opportunity to work with my father for several years. It was a great experience because my Dad was not out to make money off of my labor, but instead just wanted to teach me to be the best lawyer I could be.
I am the first to admit that I have made mistakes along the way. I developed a serious drug issue in the late 90’s that eventually lead me to be suspended by the State Bar of Arizona in September of 2000. All of these issues are a matter of public record. Although I am embarrassed about the mistakes that I have made in the past, I also know that those mistakes and my ability to learn from those mistakes have made me who I am today: as a person, a father and a lawyer.
For several years following my suspension I did many jobs that were unrelated to the practice of law. I drove an 18 wheeler for approximately one year, I did some plumbing, I did some construction, I got involved with a friend of mine and was involved in the promotion and production of special events (SuperBowl, Baseball, Arena Football)…etc. All these jobs helped me gain life experience which is critical in learning to deal with people and to help them with their problems. After approximately five years of being away from the practice of law I came to the realization that this was the profession that was best suited for me.
If you are looking for a lawyer that handles all aspects of your case, a lawyer that answers your questions, a lawyer that returns your phone calls and emails then I may be the lawyer you’re looking for. This does not mean that I do not have a great staff assisting me. I do! But my philosophy is that you hired me not my paralegal to handle your case.
If you have taken the time to read this and you have a problem that fits in my area of expertise, give me a call. You may not hire me or I may not be willing to take your case. But I promise you will have a lot more knowledge about the road ahead of you then you had before you made the call.

Cole's comment:“I admit that I made mistakes in my past. But the very mistakes that I made have made me a better lawyer, father and overall person. The issues I had that lead to those mistakes were in the late 90's. Those days are long since past. Ask me what i did wrong and I will be happy to tell you. I do not hide from my past, because that "past" has made me who i am today.”

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I endorse this lawyer. Attorney Sorenson and I have represented clients when he was defending personal injury lawsuits twenty years ago and I was representing injured clients. I always found him to be efficient, ethical, reasonable, trustworthy and in particular an excellent advocate for his clients as he had good litigation skills and a sound knowledge of the Arizona laws on negligence. He now represents persons who are injured and his dedication to the client has not changed. He has more experience and more knowledge. If I were injured in an accident I would not hesitate to use attorney Sorenson's services.

I worked at a large dowtown law firm with Cole for several years. Cole is an extremely smart and experienced attorney. In fact, I recently referred my own family member to Cole for a motor vehicle accident. There is no question that any client of Cole's is in very good hands. Cole is very attentive, upfront and honset with his clients.
