I was involved in a car accident and much to my dismay the State waited a year after the accident to charge me with 4 Felonies and 1 misdemeanor. I was served by the grand jury and arrested from my home without warning. My bond was 50 thousand dollars and I was assigned Brian Sloan as my Public defen...der. Long story short He left the Public defender's dept and went into his own practice. During my time out on the bond which was posted. The State decided to refile my charges which meant I was arrested again and required a new bond of the 50 thousand dollars. I didn't have that type of money or means, nor did my family.
