This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
This means that the attorney's misconduct in another state, or jurisdiction, also violated the rules for practicing law in Illinois.
This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Walter is truly an expert at Real Estate he worked tirelessly for us and with more compassion than I would have ever expected. He is AMAZING. You cannot go wrong with Walter Keane.

Walter Keane represented himself as an "expert" on landlord representation and made multiple claims about his experience and ability to get tenants evicted quickly and cleanly for a low price.
His "services" ended up costing us thousands in legal fees through the attorney we replaced him with after he filed a "completely defective" Three Day Notice to Quit (our new attorney's words). This started the entire case off on the wrong foot.
To boot, the eviction was based on lease violations and then when he was in court without us ("you don't need to be there") - he independently switched the complaint to non-payment of rent, which further muddied the waters.
Walter Keane is a fraud who should have his license revoked. Beware - I heard he just moved (again) to Nevada. Continuing to evade the discipline that follows him.

AFter getting ripped off by a big firm downtown, Mr. Keane solved it in 2 months time. His fee was as he had estimated and I had no surprises. Have recommended him to friends and heard back good things.
