My wife often jokes that I have a one track mind.  Once I set my mind to something, there is no going back.  She is right.  All my life if I truly wanted something I would stop at nothing to get it.  (My wife included).  Although she says it is annoying sometimes, as my client it is your greatest asset.  I am passionate about seeing that you get the best help possible, and I tenaciously represent your best interests.  I know that the IRS can be abusive, manipulative and ruthless.  They are the most powerful collection agency out there and I’m your best weapon.  Let me tell you a little about who I am and how I got here...

I grew up in Bountiful, Utah.  I graduated from Woods Cross High School in 1997.  In 1998 I served as a volunteer service missionary for my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, for two years.  I served in the Netherlands, Amsterdam Mission, where I learned to speak fluent Dutch.  Being a missionary basically means service 24 hours a day.  It is there that I learned that I wanted to help people for the rest of my life.

My wife, Kellye, grew up in Salt Lake City.  We met in February 2002 and after a short engagement we were married by October of that same year.  I’ve always wanted to be an attorney, but my schooling was stop and go for a long time.  We found out we were expecting a baby in December of 2005.  When our first son, Tate, was born the doctor laid him in my arms and I knew right then and there that I had to do better for my son.  I remember clearly, I had been working at FedEx in their inside sales department at the time.  It was a good job, but not great.  I knew I needed to do something more.  I looked over at my wife and said to her “I need to go back to school.  I need to provide for this family.”  And thus my motivation was born.  I immediately enrolled in school at Weber State University, graduating Cum Laude in 2008, and then attended Ave Maria School of Law where I received my Juris Doctorate in 2012.  During all this schooling we welcomed 2 other boys into our family, Hayden in 2008, and Cole in 2011.  My family is my motivator.  I love them and thank them for always supporting and believing in me.  We now live in Layton City, Utah.

While attending law school I discovered a passion for tax.  It was strange, because many of my colleagues thought I was crazy, but it just made sense to me.  I now understand why I enjoyed it so much, because it would become a part of my life in helping others who suffer the heavy hand of collection by the IRS.  Upon graduation we moved to Oklahoma where I gained invaluable experience in tax problem representation.  After living in Oklahoma for about a year we decided that we wouldn’t be truly happy until we were back in Utah.  In the summer of 2013 we came back to Utah and I gained further experience in dealing with the IRS while working with a local firm.  That’s enough about me, let’s get down to the reason you are visiting this site: You are looking for relief from the sleepless nights, constant fear, and uncertainty that come with the burden of owing the IRS.  Read on for a better understanding of where you are, and where you can be.  I explained that my wife accuses me of having a one-track mind, and fortunately for you she is right: All I can think about is helping you get past this difficult stage in your life.  Let’s change your life for the better!

New Beginning
This is my second review. I have tried to deal with my back taxes with bankruptcy and payment plans. Nothing worked. Attorney Wilcox made an incredible deal with the IRS. I'm forever grateful. I have had issues but Attorney Wilcox and his staff worked with me and have been professional and respectful. I'm 78 and can now sleep better and not leave my children with a lot of debt. Thank you.

We will encourage anyone with a tax dilemma to visit with him and also encourage those needing legal help to hire him. Thanks Jordan!

Helped me
I had a consultation with Jordan Wilcox in regards to my past IRS debt problems. He gave me an hour of his time and was so honest and direct with my approach on the situation and told me that I was already doing what he could do for me. I appreciate the honesty and time he spent with me. There are so many attorneys that would just take your money and not give you the time of day. I highly recommend him.

Five stars seems cliché ...but accurate!
I reached out to Jordan Wilcox's office due to the unique set of circumstances with the IRS. Within a few short days I found myself sitting in front of him sharing my story. During my process of resolving IRS concerns, the staff contacted me, informed me, and include me in each step. I always felt like I knew where I stood. When it came time to negotiate the final settlement with the IRS Mr. Wilcox and his staff went to war for me. I was able to settle for next to nothing compared to what I owed. I would recommend this service above others that you may investigate.

SAVED BY JORDAN- A POEM BY: JOE REES
SAVED BY JORDAN! We fell into a deep, dark hole And gave a desperate shout, When Jordan, Jules and Jennifer, Together pulled us OUT! We dangled in this dark abyss For FIVE FULL YEARS, at LEAST! Offers came, but none could help, While the darkness just INCREASED! The hole got deeper every year, So LOUDER we did shout, Concluding to a dismal world, “We NEVER will get OUT!” But Jordan, Jules and Jennifer, Together heard our cry, “If anyone can help you out right now,” Said Jordan, “It is I !” His sidekicks, Jules and Jenifer, Together worked as one To overcome each obstacle And QUICKLY got it DONE! So finally, now, we have our lives Returned to us again. If YOU need help, just call them up And they’ll save YOU, TOO, amen!

Thank you Jordan
I met with several local Law Firms to assist with a complex tax issue. From the outset Jordan seemed to be the only Tax Expert that was not preoccupied with fees and gave an absolute assurance he would be personally handling my account. His technical understanding of the law also shone through and the result was a $72,000 tax liability reduced to ZERO. Throughout the engagement he has been outstanding and highly professional as have his team. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

$1,000 / hour is too steep!
Although everyone was nice enough, and I can't say they didn't have some conversations with the IRS, those conversations didn't result financially in anything, that I could tell, that wouldn't have been achieved had we submitted our own paperwork. We were foolish in allowing ourselves to be backed into a corner with the IRS. Our resultant panic over a pending deadline led us to JW. In my wildest imagination, since there was no accounting to us of the time invested in our "case", I couldn't imagine time spent in our behalf being more than five to six hours total. That's a minimum of $1,000/hr. We signed the Contract; they relayed our information to the case-worker at the IRS, and we signed an agreement with to IRS requiring total payment of our original liability with interest and penalties over the next eight years, I was an informed consumer that reacted to a self-created circumstance, and I think what I got from the Firm was simply some piece of mind. It was very expensive, but, hey,..whatever the market will bear. Right? No breach of contract exists.

Response from Jordan Wilcox March 21, 2019
Please understand we appreciate the feedback, and would love to be able to respond directly with an hourly accounting, however, We do not have any pending offline requests for an accounting from an identifiable client. IRS battles are by definition without a defined outcome, and we do not promise a defined outcome. Rather, we address the case on an individual, case by case basis. I can assure anyone reading this that a case with my office is open anywhere from 3-13 months, and throughout that process, the case is worked on regularly and reviewed on a weekly basis. We do not promise a defined outcome. In a legal battle, there can be no promises made, and there is absolute uncertainty. Hence, the battle. Collection alternatives are based off a taxpayers ability to pay. If someone comes to our office with a clear and present ability to pay, we cannot demonstrate hardship, and therefore will face inherent challenges in settling for anything less than the full amount owed. In certain cases, our focus necessarily shifts from a settlement focus to asset preservation and lifestyle preservation focus. This is described in the consultation process, and there are no false promises otherwise communicated. We operate on a fixed fee, not an hourly rate. This is appreciated by most people, because with most law firms you are billed by the telephone call, by the email, or by the minute. With our offices, the guesswork is removed, and clients appreciate the flat fee approach, as there is no clock ticking against them, and they do not have to be afraid to contact our office to address case strategy or concerns.
