Thank you for visiting my AVVO page.
I have been practicing law in Colorado for 39 years. I have tried cases in state courts across this great state, including from Cheyenne Wells to Grand Junction and from Fort Collins to Pueblo. My clients have included the entire range of our diverse society: from Toby DeHerrera, a profoundly disabled son of Hispanic American farm laborers, Olympic Athletes, urban office workers, physicians, and the most elite Aspen socialite and business people.
My AVVO page client reviews are representative of the way in which I would handle your case.
I was born in California, raised in Detroit, educated at the University of Michigan and at the University of Denver College of Law.
That the practice of law demands service to our community, is a standard taken seriously by myself and my family. I have held numerous posiitions in the volunteer community, my faith community, and in various legal professional organizations. I have volunteered for the state bar association's high school mock trial program. Each year, my firm and I receive the Colorado Supreme Court's Pro Bono Achievement Award which requires each attorney in the office to volunteer over 40 hours per year to matters which benefit clients or people who are financially disadvantaged.
My seniority carries with it a mentoring obligation. For over twenty years I was active in the Inns of Court in Denver.
My teaching obligations have range from presentations at local high schools, Bar Association Continuing Legal Education, and law school lectures at University of Denver Sturm College of Law, the University of Colorado School of Law, and the Harvard Law School.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your case.
