           Since earning a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in Taxation in1993, Mr. Sprecace has defended individual and corporatetaxpayers in disputes with the I.R.S., Colorado Department of Revenue,Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, and U.S. Department of Labor,both administratively and in state and federal courts. Mr. Sprecacehas successfully represented taxpayers before the I.R.S., the ColoradoDepartment of Revenue, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment incases involving:
employment tax;
the Trust Fund Recovery Penalty;
liens and levies;
business and individual tax return audits;
federal and state offers in compromise;
innocent spouse provisions;
residence and Colorado income tax issues;
Coloradosales and use tax;
the Coloradospecial mobile machinery tax; and
Coloradounemployment insurance and worker compensation insurance tax. Â

           Mr.Sprecace’s business litigation experience includes representation of plaintiffsand defendants in federal and state trial courts and courts of appeal inmatters concerning:
contract disputes;
tort disputes;
construction disputes;
mechanics’ liens;
civil theft;
fraud and misrepresentation;
piercing the corporate veil;
the telephone consumer protection act;
securities and construction arbitration;
federal copyright laws;
bankruptcy; and
the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.

           Mr. Sprecace received his B.A. inPolitical Science from the University of Arizona. He was active in campus activities, andplayed “A-side” rugby on the Wildcat squad for 4 years. He graduated from Creighton University Schoolof Law in 1989, and was a member of the Creighton Law Review from 1987 through1989.Â

           Mr. Sprecace is a member of the Colorado, Florida, Nebraska, and Connecticut(temporary) bar associations, and is licensed to practice before the U.S. TaxCourt, the 9th and 10th Circuit Courts of Appeals, andseveral other federal courts. Hepresently serves on the Colorado Board of Health, the Englewood Board of Adjustmentand Appeals, and on the Englewoodbench as an Associate Municipal Judge.  Â
