I started a divorce suit in June of 2006 with one of the so-called best divorce lawyers in Colorado. He was not up to the task of handling my wife's ex-husband/lawyer. Her ex/lawyer was obsessed with winning this case. I fired my first lawyer in November 2006 due to lack of performance. I hired Joe P...ickard the same day. Joe was better than any lawyer that I have ever met. He was always there for me with wisdom and good advice. The case ended a year later and I can say my ex got basicly nothing because of Joe. You can not do better than Joe Pickard for your lawyer and I do not like lawyers,usually.

I hired Joe and his firm in a time of huge distress in my life. He was compassionate and was able to help me make decisions according to the law not out of my emotions. He is honest and forthcoming which helped me see things more clearly. He fought for me, for my rights, and what was right for my chi...ldren. Joe and his associates attended every court date and hearing with smiles on their faces. It was always pleasant instead of being so stressful. After our case was closed, Joe and his firm kept in close contact with us wanting to know how things were going. When I got remarried and my husband wanted to adopt my kids, Joe and Kerry were there to walk us through each step of the process. They celebrated with us at the decision and final adoption! Pickard and Associates will always be close to our hearts.

Joe Pickard sets the standards of credibility and integrity. It was apparent he earned the respect of the judge who heard our divorce case. When my ex-husband fought tenaciously to keep all of "his" retirement, my attorney was proactive in protecting me. However caddy the opposing attorney became, Ke...rry Simpson always responded respectfully. Joe's firm is proof that one can fight for justice without compromising ethics. It is comforting to know when I am going through the emotional pain they are watching out for me!

Joe Pickard is the founder of Pickard & Associates, P.C. During my divorce case, I worked with a different attorney from the law firm so I didn't interact with Joe on a regular basis (please see my review for Justin Ross). However for a few reasons, I wanted to submit this review. At the very ...beginning of my case, Joe took the time to come in and meet me personally. His warm handshake and sincere words helped calm the fears I had at the start of a very difficult divorce. He also worked closely with my attorney throughout the case, offering advice and guidance. My other feedback for Joe is about the wonderful team he has pulled together. Everyone, from the first person I met when walking through the door, to other attorneys, to the paralegals that supported my case, went out of their way to answer my questions and to take care of my needs. Simply put, they exceeded my expectations for customer care and attention. And I appreciated it.

I had reached a wall in negotiations with the claims service that was handling my case with a Denver area hospital. I decided to hire Joe Pickard to take on my case once the claims rep started insinuating that the injuries I'd incurred due to the hospital's treatment were my own fault! Not only did... having legal representation save me a lot of frustration, Joe and his team were able to negotiate far more effectively, increasing my settlement 60% over where the claims rep had been holding firm. By the way, that's 60% NET (after legal fees). I'm confident I would not have been able to secure the settlement I received without his help.
