    I think you are talking about using a subpoena to procure the records and in order to do that, you probably need to have an active case. Talk to a family law attorney in your area about the possibilities!

    Polygraph results are generally inadmissible as evidence in criminal cases and thus, it is highly unlikely any Magistrate would order submission to a polygraph examination prior to sentencing. If this man is convicted, part of the sentence could include such testing, but that is usually reserved for cases involving sexual assaults.

    I agree with my colleague who says to contact law enforcement. Lawsuits in this area are difficult and attorneys want to be able to collect fees for their work. Unless the person who gave you this disease is wealthy, you will have a challenge finding counsel to tackle the case.
