I really love my job. I am able to spend each day helping honest Coloradans gain freedom from crushing debt, and all the stress that comes with it, or guiding my clients through the maze of immigration laws and regulations to lawful immigration status or citizenship. It's a joy to find such meaning in your work.
As a practicing attorney since 2007, I've been fortunate to have helped my clients navigate through over 2,000 chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcies, and fought for settlements for many clients who were unlawfully harassed to pay a discharged debt after they filed for bankruptcy relief. I've also helped obtain employment- and family-based immigration and citizenship benefits for scores of clients. I'm also proud to have taught at legal education seminars on various issues, from chapter 13 practice, to immigration-related employer sanctions, to law firm management.
I’m not a Colorado native, but like they say I got here as fast as I could! I graduated from CU-Boulder with a Bachelor’s in Religious Studies and Anthropology, and received my J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. After graduating law school, my family – Brooke, Soren and Amelia – and I moved back to the Denver area, where I practiced immigration law with Ann Allott and bankruptcy law with Sharon Grossenbach before opening my own firm.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family (the 2- and 4-legged varieties), running, finding (and drinking) great Colorado beer, cheering on the Nuggets & Rockies, playing poker, and reading history and science books.

Andrew is a great asset to the Colorado bankruptcy community. He recently participated in an effort among local bankruptcy attorneys urging one of our Judges to adopt a more forgiving approach regarding a serious technical issue that has been harming people in Chapter 13 bankruptcies. Here's what the judge said about this effort: ". . . the Court concludes that the additional information and legal argument advanced by the Bankruptcy Practitioners Group is well-developed and very useful to the Court notwithstanding some duplication. The Court commends the members of the Bankruptcy Practitioners Group for their time and effort as well as dedication to the development of bankruptcy law in this important area of Chapter 13 practice."

Whenever I have a client needing a bankruptcy attorney, I never hesitate to give the client Andrew's name. He is very thorough, easy to speak with, and honest about the client's situation, even if bankruptcy isn't the best choice for the client. He makes everyone who is going through this tough time feel that they have a supporter who will help them through the situation. He never judges anyone nor does he take advantage of anyone's situation. He is extremely professional and the only bankruptcy attorney that I recommend.
