I am a litigation attorney specializing in family law and my practice includes representation in bankruptcy and appellate proceedings.  I believe that every client deserves an attorney who will zealously advocate for them, which requires the legal knowledge to appropriately advise them and the courtroom experience to obtain a favorable outcome.  

 

I enjoy my personal time away from work when I am outdoors in the mountains or on the water fly fishing.  Our three children keep my wife and I quite busy at home where I also enjoy cooking, usually on the BBQ, reading great books and a checking off items on a seemingly never ending home remodel list.

      Darius assisted me with my divorce a couple of years ago. He was incredibly competent, responsive, and helpful throughout the process. Though it was a very difficult and emotionally trying time, Darius made the process much easier to navigate and helped to put my mind at ease. He handled some unusual and challenging circumstances with a great deal of professionalism.       I cannot say enough about Darius Dugas to accurately represent his skills, conduct, prowess, and abilities. You could not find a better attorney to represent you ! My case has been a very complex high conflict case and high conflict cases are one of the many areas where Darius shines ! Darius is highly ethical, represents himself very professionally, is a true intellectual, knows his case law exceptionally well, and he is highly skilled in building successful strategies to defeat the most difficult and aggressive opposing counsel. It is clear Darius cares emphatically about seeing what 's right is done and that justice prevails. Darius represented me in my Custody case and in the Appeal and he is the reason this father has custody of his little girl today ! I can never THANK YOU enough Darius !!!

      I used Darius a few years ago in a bankruptcy filing. He showed competency and diligence when it came to practicing law and handling my case. If I ever need a family law attorney, I would not hesitate to use him again!

      Darius recently represented me in my alimony modification case. Stemming from my initial consultation with Darius it was apparent that he was a very qualified attorney by his ability to assimilate all the details of my case and the legal issues we faced. Darius was very diligent in addressing and challenging opposing counsel throughout the entire process and very thorough in filing orders and stipulations up to and after the court hearing. Darius was excellent in his case prep work and in his efforts to prepare me as to what to expect prior to and during the court hearing. Darius was extremely organized in gathering and presenting documentation. Darius has outstanding courtroom presence and was aggressive and steadfast when questioning and cross-examining the ex and in his objections to opposing counsel’s contentions. Darius was very helpful and I would highly recommend him as a very qualified attorney.

      Darius will fight for you but how is the question; not showing up in court and using delay tactics to prevent resolution is not the way anyone should be represented. He also made it difficult to work with my ex's attorney who really wanted to resolve matters sensibly and peacefully especially for the kids. Sure, get the most in any legal battle but with a clear and honest conscience and by following the process. I let my emotions get the better of me which made me vulnerable to some bad legal advice. There are good attorneys out there and ones that will keep costs down with quick and fair resolutions and, more importantly, who realize that for the sake of the kids a peaceful and speedy resolution is best. Lot of guilt and regret working with Darius regardless of the results. Since the legal dust has settled and no more attorneys are involved effort is being made, for the sake of the kids, to repair the badly burned bridges.
