I was charged DWI by State of Texas. After some online research, I interviewed with 3 lawyers, and eventually I decided to go with Mr. Ferell due to his 30 plus years experiences as well as I feel comfortable working with him.
This is my first lawsuit in my whole life (and hopefully this is the last time too), and with Mr.Ferrell's explanation and guidance, I knew what situation I was dealing with and what's the best and worst case scenario that I may get.
He fought my case from many different angles and the "never-give-up" spirit impressed me the most. At courtroom, he did all the talking, and I felt I am in good hand all the time.
I know I made a right decision hiring him and I highly recommand his service to people who need criminal defense.

First I want to start with a little background. This was my second offense and I felt that my situation was much worse than before and looking very grim.
Second, I was desperate and I did not know where to turn. I came to this site where I read excellent reviews the seemed real and genuine.
I called Mr. Ferrell's office and unlike other attorneys, Mr. Ferrell talked to me himself and advised that no matter the situation there are always options and quickly scheduled an appointment to meet him.
At the meeting he covered all options along with his experience and strategy. He advised that he would do all he could for me in the courtroom and not to worry as he would handle everything. He said all I had to do was show up and he would do the rest.
I took him at his word and though it took longer per his strategy, it paid off.
I got a sentence better than many 1st time offenders and a year later he helped me to amend my probation due to good behavior.
His professionalism speaks for its self and you can see that everyone in the court room respects him. He, along with his staff, is kind honest and you always feel that he is watching out for your best interests.
He is worth every penny. Don't bother with any other attorney. Mr. Ferrell will take great care of you.

Mr. Ferrell and his staff kindly and competently carried me through a very difficult situation in my life. A circumstance that easily could have resulted in a period of felony incarceration within the Texas Department of Corrections for seven years. The State recommended seven years. Mr. Ferrell's office successfully fought for reduction to misdemeanor. I would have lost my career, my children would have suffered and my family devastated due to my actions. Thanks to Mr. Ferrell, Ms. Riddick and Mr. Robledo - their diligence and research - I have relief. After this seventeen month long crisis of my making I can say major lesson learned and life dramatically changed. I have committed to not let myself or Mr. Ferrell and his staff down by successfully completing my sentence of misdemeanor probation they fought so hard for. Additionally when in Court environment I was continually impressed with not only how others treated him with respect, but also how he treated others. Wonderful man, incredible attorney - he sincerely loves the people he represents. If you need him, no hesitation - hire him.

Think about what you expect from a lawyer and multiply that by about 1,000 and you have David Ferrell. He went above and beyond my needs and treated me as an old friend. I couldn't imagine anyone else representing me. Mr. Ferrell is fair, knowledgeable, and kind. He listened to my concerns and limitations and molded my case to better suit my needs. By far the best experience I've had, and if in the future I need counsel again, I will be calling David Ferrell!!

Mr. Ferrell stepped in when I needed him most. After almost a year and a half of facing felony charges, he was able to get it dismissed. Very intelligent man and extremely kind. I'd definitely recommend him to any and everyone!

Mr. Ferrell was extremely efficient in handling my case. He fought for the best possible and did so. From the very beginning i wanted my case to be dismissed and he followed through by getting my case dismissed. His staff is very polite and I would reccomend you hire him as your lawyer.

When i found myself in legal trouble i didn't know where to look. I had no one to talk to about it and I was scared for my future. I knew I had to find a lawyer right away so I came to this website to find the best. Sure enough, Mr. Ferrell was rated the best. I ended up hiring him and it was the best decision i ever made! He ensured me that everything was going to be fine and not to worry. I felt so confident after that with him defending me. This is a real review from a real person! It ended up being that my case was dismissed just like he said it would. And to be honest, there is no better feeling when you are in that court room knowing that you have the best lawyer in town. So much respect is given to that man you can just feel it in the courtroom. He is by fat the best, and most professional lawyer in this town. With that being said, thank you Mr. Ferrell.

I’ve given Mr. Ferrell a 10/10 rating here. He deserves every bit of it and more!
I’m a disabled grandmother from Seattle with a pristine criminal record, who recently found herself caught in the place where Texas/Federal drug laws clashed with my home state’s stand on medical cannabis. Yes, I was naive enough to not know in advance about the U.S. Border Patrol Station in Hudspeth County. My fault totally! I admit it! It never occurred to me to research that aspect of my trip because I had no plans to actually cross the border, so I had no idea that I’d have to visit the Border Patrol and their dogs on I-10 as I traveled between El Paso and San Antonio until I hit it. Boy, was I surprised! The Border Patrol officers and the detective who came over from Hudspeth County were all very professional and courteous to me that day, all apologetic about how people with medical necessity were not their real targets … but, overall, it wasn’t an experience I’d recommend to anyone :(
Through researching lawyers here on AVVO, I ended up hiring Mr. David Ferrell to represent me … and I CAN’T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT HIM AND HOW HE HANDLED MY CASE!!
Yes, it cost a chunk of money to hire him initially, but it would have been expensive to hire any good lawyer for something like this. In addition to knowing I was hiring someone with long years of experience and a vast network of local contacts—which made him more than worth his fees right off the bat—Mr. Ferrell also worked things out with the court so that I did NOT have to fly back to Texas for court dates, which saved me TONS of plane ticket/hotel/restaurant/rental car money. By the time the whole case was resolved and I added up what I could have spent –vs- what I actually spent, his initial fees were ultimately VERY reasonable!
His success also exceeded my wildest hopes in this situation! I was hoping he could at least get the penalty cut down to a hefty fine, but—thanks to his expertise and a long letter from my doctor explaining why they’ve been forced to treat my chronic back pain and migraines with medical cannabis (severe allergies to traditional pain meds)—Mr. Ferrell got the DA and the judge to dismiss my case completely.
Mr. Ferrell is awesome, and I couldn’t have done this without him! His staff is also top notch! They’re attentive and keep you posted, and I can’t recommend him and his team any higher than the TEN I gave them here … because AVVO won’t let me.
But I would if I could! :)
