Ask many questions before committing.

My wife and I had a bad accident, we saw Mr. Ortiz and after 3 years our case was settled at the offer the insurance had made to us,40k for my wife and 30k for me, I thought I would be charged 25% by Mr. Ortiz but he assured us it had to be 35% because he had to deal with the adjuster we never went t...o court. At the end of the negotiations my wife received out of $40,000.00 a check for $16,000.00 I was offered $30,000.00 and received $14,000.00 I have no idea if this was a good deal but we did get something after 3 years. So form your own conclusions and ask many questions.

El Paso’s Best

Mr. Ruben Ortiz was hired for a criminal case, the punishment was years jail time from the court system. As a client I was worried and could not afford to lose my occupation. Throughout the months awaiting a jury trial sentence, Ruben Ortiz and assistant Curtis always made me feel at ease. Both attor...neys reassured me they were doing whatever possible for the best outcome. Finally court date arrived and Mr. Ortiz handled the matter amazingly well! The outcome was a dismissal! I couldn’t ask for a better attorney. Not only was Mr. Ortiz excellent his staff was also. Thank you for assisting me in this troublesome time. I would highly recommend hiring Ruben Ortiz and his professional staff. The law office offers low payments plans n ample of time to pay. Ruben Ortiz will work hard everyday for a successful outcome for his clients. Thank you once again.

Disappointing outcome

After my first trial for an assault case that I didn't go provoke or initiate, I had good things to say about Mr.ortiz. From the beginning he assured me i would get it dismissed which i was sure of too. I thought he had my back until the 2nd trial, (first was a mistrial)..it went from "we have this, ...dont worry" to "well if you just gave them what they wanted." basically like a $10 item was reason for me to be accused of assualt ! I did end up taking a plea because if my lawyer all of a sudden didnt have faith in me, why would I? Still feel i made the wrong decision after paying him $3,500 and to end up paying probation and other fees that adds an additional $1,400. Should've gotten a court appointed attorney.

When handling criminal law cases, I strive to either have the charges dismissed and/or obtain a not guilty verdict in each and every case that I take on. My number one goal is to win every case for every single one of my clients. However, it is impossible to win 100% of the time, but that does not ever prevent me from trying to obtain that result for everyone who hires me. Even though my philosophy is to win every case no matter how much evidence there may be against one of my clients, I never 100% guarantee or assure that a case will be won. On your case, we went to a jury trial and it ended in a mistrial, and then we were set to trial a second time on your case. If you will recall, a few minutes prior to the the commencement of the second trial, you were offered a way to have your charges dismissed against you without risking the possibility of you losing your case and having a conviction on your record for the rest of your life. This was the first time that this manner of obtaining a dismissal was offered, and you agreed to avert the trial and obtain a dismissal, without you having to plead guilty or being on probation, as you were never placed on probation. You agreed to a pre-trial program, which upon successful completion of it, your case would then be dismissed. You were also made aware that the program and the classes were not free, and that you would be responsible for that cost. By this time, you should have completed the program and the charges should have been dismissed against you. I wish you much luck in the future.

warrant

Mr Ortiz is an excellent attorney. When I went to him instead of charging me to help us with a problem we had regarding a warrant he advise me where to go. The warrant was paid and Mr Ortiz didn't charge for anything. Thank you Mr Ortiz

Don't bother paying for ticket assistance

Why pay $75-100 for them to do what you can do for yourself? Anyone can ask for defensive driving! If I had known they were just going to take my money and take the easiest way out possible, I would've shown up and ask the judge for that MYSELF and saved the money! Now I paid $75 for NOTHING AND have... $115 in court costs PLUS whatever defensive driving will cost. Thanks for taking my money Mr. Ortiz.
