He is a crook

Nieto agreed to represent my sister and I on a probate case. He was given $3900 and then asked for more money to file this and that bringing the total to $4500. He never did a thing for us. In fact, he moved to Mexico and took every last cent with him. He refuses to pay back the money. This man is ve...ry unethical and cannot be trusted.

Unethical & Underhanded

It should have become very apparent to me when mr. Nieto moved my divorce case into his and the opposing attorney home county that he did not intend to put much effort into my case. I was taken advantage of because this was my first time to be in a courtroom situation. He simply just went along wit...h and didn't try to counters any of the opposing attorneys motions or demands. Every time I would ask him a question, he'd dodge the answer and give me the brush-off. I provided him with info against my husband thinking it would help my case and no sooner than i hung up with him my husband would call me knowing exactly what I had said. It became obvious that he was just in it for the money and that he was working against me and not for me . He was just in it for the check and agreeing with the other attorney just to get the case over with. He did things the way he wanted to and not the way I being his client had asked him to. Mr. Nieto is both unethical and untrustworthy!!

child out of the country

I had to do all the run around for him. and he didn't do anything i kept missing working for nothing. When i did show up for work he would always forget my name and i had to keep on reminding him about the case. last time i seen he asked for more money and i asked him the reason he just said to do so...me paper work. but really never did anything the first time around that i gave hime $800.00 won't ever go back to him again.

Concerned citizen

Don't use this man under any circumstance. You've heard of lawyers in it for the money only. This guy is definitely of of those. He had me giving money for filing this and that when several documents were not filed. He does not return phone calls. When asked to return funds given to him to file docum...ents that were never filed, I could not get any money refunded. When up against the opposing attorney and informed by same that we had no case he offered no response. Afterward he informed me that if we tried another route I would need to give him more money. I declined any further efforts by him of course. Not only did I loose my case, one which should never have been brought in the first place as there was no precedent, I was never refunded any of the money I had given him. It is the responsibility of the attorney to establish precedent prior to accepting and proceeding with a case. This case should never have been filed, and I truly believe it was filed in order to bilk money from me for as long as possible. I found out about the lack of precedent from the opposing attorney during the hearing. This is being reported to the Texas State Bar Association as of this writing. Beware of Pedro Nieto!
