About me

Mallory Ellis graduated from Baylor University School of Law. While at Baylor, Mallory achieved the honor of the Dean’s List and was a Semi-Finalist in the Naman Howell Smith & Lee Client Counseling Competition. Baylor’s curriculum inspired her to be a litigator, but Baylor’s volunteer opportunities ignited her passion for family law. Mallory served as a Guardian Ad Litem for children in foster care through McLennan County’s CASA program, acting as each child’s voice to the court regarding their living situation and well-being throughout their custody case. She was also a committee chair for National Adoption Day and an active member of the Baylor Public Interest Legal Society.

During law school, Mallory clerked for the Honorable Judge Marilea Lewis of the 330th District Court of Dallas County, worked in the Juvenile Justice Division of the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office, and clerked for The Law Office of Nita Fanning. After law school, Mallory clerked for The Nunley Firm in Boerne, Texas while studying for the Texas Bar Exam. Upon passing the Bar, she worked for Cook & Gore, PLLC as an associate attorney. Her main focus in all of these positions has always been family law; however, she has also had the privilege to work on cases involving a variety of issues, including constitutional rights, bankruptcy, probate litigation, estate planning, guardianships, DTPA claims, water rights, oil and gas interests, and juvenile justice.

Mallory’s work experience prior to joining Zinda Law Group, PLLC equipped her with a spirit of diligence and versatility that she carries into her practice. She is passionate about making the legal system an accessible vehicle for her clients to move through and beyond their problems. She takes great joy in the opportunity at Zinda Law Group to serve the Austin community as a family law attorney.
