I hired Kerry to represent me in an unemployment hearing. My benefits were already approved but my previous employer appealed. They paraded 4 witnesses against me and I had none. Kerry reviewed my documents for evidence before submission and picked out 14 pages out of 130+ for me to submit, he then prepped me over the phone. My hearing was strange, it went over the 1 hour time frame and had to be reset a few weeks later and took an additional half hour. Kerry is prompt in responses and gives sound advice. If you are uncomfortable representing yourself, this is money VERY well spent. We prevailed in the end and I am very satisfied.

After contacting other firms and being disappointed with their lack of response to provide help and take my case, I called Kerry's firm. I was feeling discouraged but quickly relieved just after one initial contact with Kerry; I knew I'd found THE lawyer I needed to guide me through a stressful ordeal I'd experienced with my former employer...including being wrongfully terminated. I'd never experienced anything like this in my entire work history and career. I was so encouraged after receiving his quick response and the time he took to respond in length. Kerry was more than excellent and is as well a professional, diligent and capable lawyer who cares about his clients and the injustices they experience in the workplace. Kerry negotiated a payout that far exceeded what my employer initially offered, which would have been impossible without his help and expertise.
THANK YOU 1000x and I thank God!

What a JERK. Don't hire this CLOWN.
I called this attorney for a consult, for a TWC related concern. His intake process includes an elaborate process whereby an intake rep schedules a 15-min phone call with you for a specific date and time. I set up the appt, and Kerry Obrien didn't even keep his own appt, he stood me up.
His legal assistant did leave me a voice mail message prior to the appt time, stating that her boss was "busy" but that she "can help me", and she stated in her VM that she would call back at the scheduled appt time that same day. She left her phone number. She did NOT call back at my scheduled appt time, nor was she reachable when I called her back, twice.
I instead was forced through the convoluted intake process yet again, made a completely different 15-min phone appt for a day 2 days in the future. I was certain I'd get stood up again.
Very next day, tried reaching the legal assistant back. Reached her. This was the rudest woman I've ever talked to. Wouldn't listen to anything I said, constantly cutting me off. I had to actually tell her: "Let me finish my statement please", to which she quickly replied: "Let ME finish MY statement". I hung up on her.
Called the convoluted intake rep back, and gave feedback for the terrible customer experience that I just suffered through. As a result, attorney chose to EMAIL me an hour later, with a RETAILIATION email, stating that since I didn't like the behavior of his assistant, to find a different lawyer.
What a JERK. Who needs this unprofessional attitude when there are DOZENS of other board certified employment law lawyers in Austin? I suggest you use one of them instead, and leave this CLOWN in the dust.
