I had already been around the block with divorce attorneys. Had been overtly frustrated by watching months pass and nothing getting accomplished, but wracking up large hourly bills. I let my current attorneys go and found out about Brita threw a friend. She offered a set rate to me with 6 months of unlimited serve and a solid game plan to get my divorce completed. And WOW! I'd barely had her for a week and things were getting accomplished! She's a hardball, go getter, no messing around! I was so overtly thrilled that my year long divorce came to a swift close with her at the helm. I could finally move on with my life! Love Brita and would highly recommend her.

I had a toxic custody battle with my daughter's father that I started doing on my own. I was scared, overwhelmed, and completely confused about what the next legal steps were or even what my options were. The minute I hired Brita, it was like a huge cloud was lifted. She was empathetic of my situation and genuinely cared about my case. She was TOUGH. She didn't take any guff from the father or his attempted "shenanigans." She saw right through him from the beginning which in turn, helped give me the strength to stand up to him. She explained everything step-by-step so I could understand and the reasons WHY we were doing them. She was honest and straightforward answering all the questions I had. There were a few times where I was nervous about how the case would end up, if things didn't go as planned, but Brita was always confident and calm and reassured me that things would go my way - and she was always right! She was my protector, and more importantly, my daughter's protector. I trusted her, felt safe with her and not once did she let me or my daughter down. She made us her priority and it showed in her communications with me and in the court room. I will be forever grateful for the fight she fought for me and my daughter. I'm thankful to say, with Brita's help, my story had a happy ending.

I hired Ms. Long to help me with a complex and highly emotional custody case. Aside from the initial meeting, Ms. Long was unprepared and seemed to care very little about my case. She waited until the Sunday before the hearing to work on the declaration even though I had hired her in advance because she and her son who works for her insisted that time was of the essence and I needed to retain them immediately or I would risk losing custody. Ms. Long turned the declaration document in late. She did nothing to prepare me for the hearing and seemed unprepared herself. In the hearing, she was unfamiliar with important details of my case. While we were waiting to enter the courtroom, a colleague asked Ms. Long what she was doing here. She got up and did a little dance. "You know. Doing my dance!" she replied. In the time that she represented me, Ms. Long failed to answer quite a few of my questions and to provide more than the absolute minimum help. While she did respond promptly to emails as long as it wasn't over the weekend and was prompt to relay information to the other lawyer, her communications with me were often rude and borderline unprofessional. I can see why she offers a fixed rather than hourly rate. When it came to billing, she was very aggressive and on top of it, but not so with my case, for which she seemed to do the bare minimum. It seems she cares about money and less about my young son's or my own well-being.

I was overwhelmed with all the paperwork and questions when it came time to file for my divorce. After reviewing family law attorneys and reading reviews, I decided on Ms. Long. It was the best decision I've made. Ms. Long is on top of her game. She responded to all my calls and emails within a timely manner. Sometimes you hear about having to wait for calls for days from your attorney (or never calling in some cases). This was not the case with Ms. Long or her legal assistant. She thoroughly explained the process every step of the way. She reassured me when I was unsure. As a stay at home mom of two, now having to go back into the work force at some point, because of Ms. Long, I was awarded a very fair and equitable deal. Ms. Long had a lot of back and forth communication with the ex -spouses attorney, but in the end, I came out on top and was more than pleased with the outcome. She truly had my best interests at heart. One other thing, she gave me her personal cell phone number in case I needed it. I think I called it one time. What attorney gives you their personal cell phone number? I highly recommend this attorney. If I was not pleased with her services, this site would have that review. One thing I would also like to mention. My children are both currently in Jr. High School. I would have never thought to get 'post secondary education' verbiage in my divorce documents. My husband will be responsible for helping with their college education in the future. I never even thought of this (taking it day by day!) Thank you Ms. Long and staff.

I was referred to Brita Long by an attorney that was working on my child custody and child support case. She (the original attorney) had to withdraw herself from my case due to some complications that occurred. This transpired just a few months before trial. Needless to say this was a very nerve-wracking and difficult time for me. Having to find a new lawyer with little time to waste, was not something I was prepared to do. I contacted Brita Long, got into her office immediately and voilà she began diligently working on my case! Within a week my case had turned completely around, for the better! Brita acted promptly to make some immediate changes with my temporary parenting plan, that were more than necessary. I instantly believed that finding Brita was a blessing in disguise!
Brita has a very bold, upfront and caring attitude, which I prefer. She and her assistant are always thoughtful, professional, and quick when corresponding with me, no matter the time of day. Brita and her team have modernized and savvy processes that make meeting trial deadlines efficient and convenient for the client, which is appreciated when you are a single mother that works full-time.
During preparation and trial, Brita fought hard, always with my daughter in mind and made sure her best interests were met. The outcome of trial and my case were better than I would have ever expected. Brita does not disappoint! She has an enormous heart and it shows! Brita has been very instrumental in getting me through this emotionally difficult time in my life…and I couldn’t thank her and her staff enough!
Hiring her was beyond one of the best decisions I could have ever made! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Brita!!

I went to Brita Long to set up my estate, which included creating a Revocable Trust for all my assets. This trust was necessary to protect my assets for my minor children. Brita made sure all of the small details were completed, without putting any pressure on me. She asked me all of the appropriate questions and gently (and very professionally) nudged me to provide her with personal financial information in a timely manner. I had to make hard decisions regarding naming a Trustee and Guardians for my children; and Brita was there to counsel with practical advice while being fully aware of the sensitive nature of the issues. Brita and her assistant Jonathan are wonderful. I would recommend Brita and Jonathan for any legal issue you may have that is in her area of expertise, she is a compassionate advocate.

I hired Ms. Long to help me with a parenting plan mediation that was contentious and emotionally difficult. She was compassionate, honest, realistic, and dedicated to helping me get to a plan that was best for my child. She knew when to compromise and when to stand firm, and it was a great comfort to have someone as skilled and experienced as Ms. Long on my side. I highly recommend her!

Brita has a tenacious, gregarious, knowledgeable and positive approach to her practice. I chose her specifically because of her experience with domestic violence clients. She has been very considerate, stern and compassionate with me and has accepted no b.s. from the other party. I also like her "set fee" option. I have already recommended her several times to acquaintences and would do so again without hesitation!

When I first took my case to Brita, although, I was very impressed with her, I didn't end up hiring her. A few months fast forward, my attorney, a well reputed 5 star 10/10 attorney in Seattle, deserted me a few weeks before trial. I again turned to Brita. She was going for a surgery in 2 days but before going wrote a powerful motion in my favor. Although I have been wasting money on my divorce litigation, Brita was a godsend angel to me. She knew what exactly I wanted and helped me accomplish just that. Even Wolfgang Anderson refused to get involved in my case as a lost cause. Brita knows what exactly will work in the courtroom. She helped me accomplish my goals when all other attorneys had given up on me and given me less than 5% chance of success. Mind you these were some of the best rated attorneys in Seattle. Brita is therefore to me, simply the best in business.

I can't say enough about what a great attorney and person I have in Brita. I hired Brita very quickly after I filed for divorce looking for someone who would safeguard me and most importantly, my children. When we met, we clicked immediately. She told me "I haven't lost a child yet" and she wasn't planning on changing that anytime.
What looked like a somewhat challenging divorce turned into one of the most adversarial, harrowing and exhausting experiences I have ever had. Brita remained strong, consistent, and very to the point. She went above and beyond by listening to me, and at times giving me advice I didn't want to hear. But she was always spot on.
When my dissolution case was at it's worst and time was of the essence, Brita spent her after hours fighting for me, finding me the appropriate resources, and tackled what I thought couldn't be done.
My case went all the way to trial. Unfortunately, it was a necessary evil. Brita shined in her presentation at court. Her choice of witnesses and weaving of the case was incredible.
In the end, her work at trial ended up in exactly what she said would happen - my children are safe. She was able to finally get to the bottom of what was happening and the final ruling in my case couldn't have been better.
I thank Brita for saving my life and that of my children. My children's future is safe. What a gift.
Brita - you are my children's guardian angel. I can never thank you enough.
Anyone who needs an attorney who is really going to FIGHT for you and knows her stuff - Brita is your gal.
In fact, Brita is now my attorney for estate planning. I trust her to continue to safeguard me and my children.
