About me

Jonathan W. Charnitski represents individuals and businesses from entity formation to ongoing legal compliance and governance. Previously, he covered telecommunications and intellectual property as a journalist on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., worked for Fannie Mae in governance and compliance during the housing market recovery, and was involved as an attorney in large-scale litigation and government investigations. He has been practicing law in Austin since 2013.

Mr. Charnitski received his J.D. in 2008 from Villanova School of Law outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was President of the Intellectual Property Law Society and research assistant for Professor Penelope Pether. He holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Washington in Seattle, where he earned national recognition from the Society of Professional Journalists as an opinion writer and from the Associated College Press as Editor-in-Chief of The Daily.

In his spare time, Mr. Charnitski enjoys playing guitar, running, rooting for the Washington Huskies, and attempting to tame his back yard with his wife.

Jonathan sets himself apart from other attorneys simply because he gives above and beyond the kind of detailed attention required to leave each client in a better position than he found them. If you are looking for an attorney who cares deeply about getting the job done right, look no further than Mr. Charnitski.
