Wow! I couldn't have expected this outcome. I received a charge for a DWI. Betty was referred to me by a former member of the Attorney General's office. He gave me 5 names that he said he would use if he needed these or other services. I interviewed them and hands down, she was the most professional and was clearly interested in helping me and not bragging about her wins. Of the 5, she was in the middle of the price range which also was a good sign to me.
Simply, Betty was able to get my case dismissed and will be able to get it expunged from my record. I was told over and over that it's very difficult these days to get these cases dismissed. She went above and beyond in her availability to talk at most any time and her detailed explanations to educate me.
Not only did Betty work through Covid to keep me informed by email and via mail with hard copies, she drove the prosecuting attorney to speed up the reviews and in record time.
It's worth noting that she said that I did everything she asked timely. I took some classes voluntarily and completed the necessary evaluations. You'll want to do whatever she recommends.
I'd like to give her 10 stars - this was totally unexpected.

After being arrested for a dwi and being underage, I hired Betty to be my attorney. Explaining to her the messy situation of my case she made it clear that she was going to do everything she could to help me win. Betty was very honest with me and guided me through this process as someone who has never been in trouble with the law before. My case was very rare and complicated because I was being accused of a dwi. Betty had told me that she has never had a client that had a similar case as me. In the end she helped me win my case. We were able to prove that I was not the driver that night since I had two witnesses that were in the car the night of the arrest who were the designated drivers. The dwi was lowered to only a public intoxication ticket since I was drinking and was underage, and as well winning the drivers license hearing. I am so thankful for what Betty has done for me. Her many years of experience showed and I couldn't be where I am today without her help. I highly recommend you hire her for any criminal defense, dwi or dui case.

Betty went into action from day 1. She kept me informed. Explained the process and options. With 40 years experience, she new all the 411. Simply put, she got things done! Double felonies and a misdemeanor dismissed in just a couple months because she knew what to do and when. She could see the police were making bogus acusations and grasping at straws.

I Hired Betty Blackwell In December of 2017 after I was arrested for driving while intoxicated AND underage. All hope was lost for me until a close friend of mine, who has multiple DWI's recommended her... I must say, I was blown away by her professional, compassionate, and tenacious attitude. I knew right off the bat that I was in good hands. she was completely willing to work with me and walk me through this horrible process. After all was said and done she put me on track to a complete dismissal of my DWI! Even after I messed up, she was able to get me three chances to get it dismissed and with her and her amazing assistant Anna's help I was able to get through it.
If you are currently trying to find a great lawyer and you aren't too sure, please know, this woman is a miracle worker. Let her work a miracle for you!
Thank you, Betty Blackwell.

Ms. Blackwell is very professional and cordial. She explained the details of the case clearly. I felt very confident that she was giving the best advice.

She maybe a very experienced lawyer but I think she needs to take some course to learn some "manners". I got referred through LRS and didn't had $20 (yes, compare that to the fees) cash on me when I came to visit and also forgot my checkbook. Talked to LRS and they don't take phone payments for consultation and just as I was about to reschedule my appointment for later, so I can come prepared next time, came Betty Blackwell. Not only she said I was late (although I asked in advance if I need to reschedule as I will be running late and her assistant said it's fine), she straight away told me (very rudely, while emphasizing on how important her time is compared to mine) to pay the money or find another lawyer. I was baffled and angry and couldn't believe how could someone so professional and experienced be so rude. Maybe it's her ego, a bad day, or maybe that's just the way she treats her potential/current clients, I just didn't like her attitude as a potential client and so I said thanks, and left.
Thanks for nothing Betty, I hope you get a lot of clients with that attitude of yours!

I hired Betty Blackwell several years ago when I lived in Travis County. I came to her for assistance after being charged with felony assault. I work as a professional and my career and life was on the verge of being over with this criminal charge. After consulting with several attorneys who all told me basically that I was going to do jail time or I was going to settle for 10+ years probation, I met Betty Blackwell. She listened to me patiently, hearing all the facts and details of what happend. She was honest and upfront and seemed very caring towards me at this horrible time in my life. She was able to gather all the facts and witnesses to prove my innocence and prove that I was not the violent criminal that I was made out to be. She and her assistant always kept me informed so I was never left in the dark. Thanks to Betty, we got the results I needed and I have my freedom and life back. I now can put this nightmare behind me. I will ALWAYS be forever grateful for her hard work that she did for me. I HIGHLY recommend her as an outstanding criminal defense attorney. Thank you again Betty! May god bless you for your service and dedication to help those who are wrongly accused.
