Amazing care for my custody case with my daughter

Lisa and her team of professionals have been instrumental in my custody case with my daughter. They're thoughtful, caring and catered to my needs. The team took my case serious and personal and worked hard for me to achive my goal. These folks are ethical, promote a positive approach and were aggr...essive where necessary. I can't recommend Lisa Vance and Kimberly enough and am appreciative of the rest of my team and Terra for their expertise and attention to details.

Rock Stars

I am currently going through a divorce after 26 years of marriage. Lisa and her team has made this experience as easy and pleasant as possible. They contact me almost daily and answer all my questions. They treat me like a human with feelings and not just a client. I can't imagine going through this ...without them. I HIGHLY recommend Lisa and her team.

Awesome Attorney

She “took the bull by the horns” Mrs. Vance saw me through a horrible custody case. It was one of the toughest times of my life and it was ripping my happy little world apart. Ms. Vance taught me how to do the right thing “take the high road” as she called it, even when that was the last thing I ...wanted to do. She was an absolute powerhouse in the courtroom. She is also very creative, and offered me several different options on how to handle my case. She even showed me how to do some of the paralegals work so I would save money on the legal fees. I am so very thankful that I had Lisa Vance as my lawyer. I highly recommend Ms. Lisa Vance to anyone who needs a lawyer.

Thank you, Vance & Whitley!

Mine was a pretty simple case; however, due to the fact that my ex-spouse wasn't very good at communicating with anyone, including his two attorneys (both of whom withdrew from the case on two separate occasions), my divorce took longer than it should have. I was frustrated, annoyed, and disappointed... in the legal system. From the first appointment when I met with Ms. Vance, I was made to feel at home. Lisa Vance and Agatha Rode were both courteous, interested, knowledgeable, and accessible. I never had to wait more than a day to receive an answer to a question or concern, either via email or phone. Whenever we had to go to court, both attorneys were very well-prepared and kept me informed of the situation at hand. I trusted them both and when they decided with one instead of another strategy, I knew that they knew best and I trusted their expertise. In the end, our case had to go to trial -- a trial that lasted 3 days. It was exhausting but through it all, Ms. Vance and Ms. Rode had one objective in mind: to support me and stand up for me and my rights (and wishes). I am grateful that I sought Vance & Whitley's services for my divorce. I have recommended them to two co-workers already and I will continue to do so. Thank you, Lisa. Thank you, Agatha. You know how much our "little" victory means to me.

Worst Experience

This office is by far the worst I've ever experienced. The consultation is $250 with an attorney who is retired. The entire consultation she stated my husband had a great case and most definitely could go for full custody and if not 50/50. We hired the office which required a $10,000 retainer only fo...r them to sit on the case and drain the retainer for three months prior to even file for the case to be transferred to Bexar County. Once it was filed, we were instructed we would need to hire another attorney in a different county on top of keeping them and would require and additional $3,500 to keep them on if it were transferred here. His contract stated he was to receive bimonthly statements which he did not. Upon receiving all of them towards the end before we withdrew their office, the retainer was spent on correspondence between the paralegal and the attorney (no idea on what) multiple times for hours upon hours, the paralegal to review my husband's statement, the attorney to review his statement, the attorney to make adjustments, the paralegal to review again, the paralegal emailing for three months with no movement. They completely left my husband in the dark of the process what exactly was needed or what the next steps were and the actions to be taken. DO NOT HIRE THIS OFFICE! And to do this to a service member is a shame.
