I am currently going through a divorce after 26 years of marriage. Lisa and her team has made this experience as easy and pleasant as possible. They contact me almost daily and answer all my questions. They treat me like a human with feelings and not just a client. I can't imagine going through this ...

Smart, Well Respected, Family Attorney for the Right Reasons
Lisa is empathetic, wise and well respected by peers. Our family was dealing with serious false allegations and a difficult ex continuously filing erroneous motions. She helped us get the best possible result. She is the second attorney we hired in San Antonio and is leaps and bounds better t...

Divorce
Ms. Vance helped me through a very rough divorce and saw to it that all my resources were not drained by ex-wife. She pointed out many specifics that I hadn't an idea existed. I couldn't imagine where I'd be today without the help of her and her staff. Several times I needed reassuring that the co...

Thank you, Vance & Whitley!
Mine was a pretty simple case; however, due to the fact that my ex-spouse wasn't very good at communicating with anyone, including his two attorneys (both of whom withdrew from the case on two separate occasions), my divorce took longer than it should have. I was frustrated, annoyed, and disappointed...

Unbelievable...in the worst way.
Poor professional. Didn't return calls. Kept delaying the court dates. After 4 months with Lisa, she still didn't get me any temporary orders for my divorce. My ex by then had done so much damage. The only time she was genuinely concerned and cared was when she wanted my retainer. Sad that she bears ...
We were the second lawyers hired to represent FH in her divorce action. We created a litigation strategy so that she would work ONLY with one of our paralegals, rather than include the hourly rate of a lawyer. She never called me, only the legal assistant and therefore it is not true that I did not return her calls. That paralegal, however, spent time with FH, analyzing her data, creating a budget and expense roster for her to use in her case. She wanted us to work for free and when we refused, she said she would post negative messages on the web about me. That is defamation; her malicious intention is evident in her refusal to even list her name in this comment. Her husband worked in the oilfield and was only able to come into San Antonio sporadically. At the first hearing, his lawyer forgot that the hearing was to be held and it was therefore continued at his request. At the second, FH told us we no longer had her authority to represent her. The night before that hearing, the husband’s lawyer’s car was stolen and he had no papers to present anyway. Knowing that FH would not permit us to represent her, I explained how very difficult this client is & outlined our work to the Hon. Karen Pozza, who voiced her confidence in me and my work. FH attempted to file a grievance against me with the State Bar of Texas, but her allegations were insufficient to even justify any state investigation whatsoever. FH asked us to return her entire retainer; we gave her back the money that had not been spent on her case. She then threatened that if she did not get her entire retainer, she would post negative comments on the web about me. I do not tolerate bullying behavior and am more than comfortable explaining what happened in this case. No damage was done by the husband during our brief representation of FH. They were living apart and she was able to support herself.
