Bertha is the BEST immigration lawyer I've ever met. During the period I was detained (about 13 months and a half) my family consulted several lawyers and some of them didn't want to take my case, others said that my best option, was to get voluntary departure and fight my case in Mexico, and one o...f them took my case and did NOTHING!!! We wasted time (five months) and money on a lawyer that literally did NOTHING, yet he promised to get me out. My family then hired Bertha, and since the first time I talked to her, she talked with such confidence (something I had never seen or heard from any other lawyer) that I knew she would help me win my case. My husband and family later told me that when they went to see her, they realized she was the right lawyer for my case. The best thing my family did during the time I was detained, was hire her!! Ok I know that most of us who use the internet to look for reviews about something would want to know a straight up answer, so I’m going to give it to you without any preamble, then elaborate some more, just in case you’re interested in more details. My case was more complicated than the average, she thought of ways to fight my case that no other attorneys had thought of and did everything in her power to get me out of detention and reunite me with my wife and family; this after I was left almost with no hope or other options by another attorney we had hired in the beginning. May of 2016 I consulted with Judge Zuniga about my sister. After she was detained by ICE. She was very helpful from the beginning. My sister's case was very particular.
