My brother was arrested April 3rd, 2017. I paid the bond at the county jail where he was arrested however, because there was an immigration hold, he wasn’t able to be released. They transferred him from the county jail to the South Texas Detention Complex in Pearsall in less than a week after I had ...paid the bond. Everything happened so fast. In act of desperation, I consulted and hired the 1st immigration attorney I encountered to represent my brother. I wish I would’ve done more research on the lawyer. He seemed trustworthy and he didn’t charge “an arm and a leg” for the case so I went ahead with him. Unfortunately, for about two months, this attorney did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for my brother. He was unprepared and rescheduled my brother’s court date twice to buy him some more time.
