Above and beyond

I cannot say enough positive things about Corey! When it appeared Chapter 13 was on the horizon, we met with several attorneys prior to finding Corey. After each consultation, we left dejected and scared to death. Finally, I asked for a referral from a coworker and her attorney husband highly recomme...nded Corey. From the very first minute we met with him, we were put at ease. He was so laid back, yet extremely confident that this was not going to ruin our lives forever! My husband and I left feeling so much relief! Our case was not as straightforward as some, and we ended up having to go before the judge on a couple of occasions to prove we were acting in good faith. During those courts occasions, we had a chance to see other bankruptcy attorneys work and speak before the judge. Without a doubt, Corey was the most articulate, professional and well respected attorney the judge heard those days! Rather than rule right away, the judge requested that Corey provided some case law to support our trustee appeal. This could have consisted of Corey sending the judge a couple of cases to read. Instead, Corey spent THREE WEEKS working on a detailed memorandum to support our argument. This is NOT the norm for a big bankruptcy firm where you are just another case. Corey was truly an advocate for us and we won the appeal. Not only that, but the judge was so impressed by the case Corey put forth that he issued a 26 page judgement (we are told this is very rare). Throughout this stressful experience, Corey never got ruffled and he never let us worry. We truly believe that Corey was a special blessing to us during a really hard time in our lives.

A Great Bankruptcy Lawyer!

Corey and his staff has been very helpful in my personal situation. I went to his offices a couple of years back, not really knowing what to expect. He clearly explained all of my options, prior to filing, and advised me of what would be best, going forward for each. We came to the conclusion that Ch...13 was best at that time (2 years ago). Unfortunately, I got laid off last year and has had some financial difficulties since. We are now needing to convert the Chapter 13 plan over to a Chapter 7 and that process has been seamless and handled promptly by his office. Honestly, going through Bankruptcy can be a very stressful time, and it has been for us...but Corey does what he can to release some of that and gets you through it as painless as possible... I highly recommend Corey Mills for anyone who has to go through bankruptcy! Roy H

An Honest Attorney

Corey Mills is a very honest and direct attorney. He lays it all out on the table for you up front and patiently guides you through the process. I was never asked to cough up any extra monies after the fact. I never felt like I couldn't ask him or his staff questions even though, I'm sure I was bothe...rsome. I would highly recommend Mills & Henshaw for all legal matters. Before consulting with Corey, I had been heavily discouraged from even contemplating bankruptcy by my former attorney because bankruptcy would not have been in his best interest. Corey professionally evaluated my situation instead of just eyeballing it like the other lawyer did and Corey said it was definitely an option for me. Corey was absolutely correct and things could not have turned out better. I got my life back. I truly regret not going to Mills & Henshaw a year earlier. It would have saved my family a lot of money and tons of unnecessary anxiety. Keep in mind that Mills & Henshaw don't just handle bankruptcies like most bankruptcy attorneys. They also handle litigation. So, in the end, you won't get persuaded into doing something that's really in your attorney's best interest and not yours. If they think you are a good candidate for bankruptcy, they will tell you that. But, if they think your debt should be handled differently, they will tell you that as well because they aren't trying to push their clients in a direction that is only advantageous for themselves which is something that I went through with another lawyer for more than a year before meeting Corey Mills. If I ever need any legal advice, I will go to Corey Mills first because he earned my trust. I know he will point me in the right direction.
