He's quite knowledgeable in going after collection agencies, but alot of it is built on who he knows, along w/ his legal expertise. He is very difficult to pin down. What I didn't like is when I found out he'd taken care of my problem, he charged me a bundle. I had kept asking how much this was go...ing to cost, and was never given a definite answer. He did let me pay it out, however. His staff is very good, but he leaves much to be desired. He does get results, though, so if you can put up w/ his short-comings, he's worth it.

Don't take this lawyer and don't trust him I gave him my case and never do anything I paid around $800 dollars I went to his office to ask for my case and didn't want to open the door also I called him many times and never answered the phone so be careful if you go with this man couse he won't do any...thing the only thing is take your money . NO GOOD LAWYER

On or about July 2, 2019, I retained John Mastriani to represent me in a debt collection lawsuit. I paid him $500.00 on July 2, 2019 and $500.00 August 8, 2019. The deadline to file the response to the suit was July 8, 2019 and I was assured that Mr. Mastriani would take care of it. The court refu...sed to give me any information since I stated I had an attorney. (justice court). Mr Mastriani did respond to the suit so I received notice that a default judgment was was signed by the judge on November 1, 2019. Mr. Mastriani does not return phone calls or emails. He did return a phone call on November 5, 2019 and assured he would take care of a Motion to Vacate Default Judgment and very apologetic that he didn't take care of this matter. Again, he is not returning phone calls or emails. I filed the Motion to Vacate November 12, 2019 (Justice Court, no attorney required). I have also demanded that he refund my $1000, but of course no response.

May of this year I hired Mr. Mastriani and paid him $500. Once I paid him I never heard back from them. I left several messages and emails. I assumed he was taking care of my lawsuit. I had a deadline to turn in my paperwork to the district clerk in response to being sued. I assumed that Mastriani wa...s taking care of this. I called the district clerk to check up on my case since I never could get a hold of Mastriani and they told me no lawyer had got in touch with them on my behalf. I went ahead and took my own paperwork to the courthouse. To make a long story short after 3 months of no response from this law firm I finally get a call from Mastriani and he says for an additional $1000.00 he will help me with this case. I told him I wanted in writing what he is telling me and then I would pay the money. Keep in mind I had already paid him $500 for doing nothing. I have not heard back from this law firm.
