I was 'fortunately' referred by default to Mr J Mastriani back in the summer of 2007. Prior to meeting him, I had contracted the services of another bankruptcy attorney, paying up front for their services which were touted as second to none. After a few months had passed, I contacted that firm and ...they had no updates on my case. Upon further probing, it was determined that they had done nothing on my behalf and I even missed a court date due to their inaction and total lack of responsibility. I don't know how, but I received a call from Mr Mastriani saying that he would be taking over the case. I immediately scheduled an appointment with him and we met within a few days. He took no money from me but instead wanted to look into my pending cases and then we would take about what direction to go and the financial costs. Right away I could tell he was a 'take charge' type of attorney. He is well versed in bankruptcy law, is very familiar with the tactics that the creditors and the debt collectors use to imidiate his clients, but most importantly he knows what strategy to develop to best approach/tackle the creditor leaches. After our initial meeting, I could finally go home and for the first time in several years not go to bed worrying about the phone ringing the following day or getting mail or even worse, getting served at my house by the creditor/debt collector's attorneys' agents. I finally felt like I had someone on my side, in 'my court' so to speak, and Mr J Mastriani ended up defeating, yes, defeating 5 creditors that took to me to court. Even with the first case where I failed to appear in court (or rather my attorney) because the first firm dropped the ball, he was able to get the default judgement overturned and a new trial rescheduled. His staff is also knowledgeable and easy to reach via email or instant messaging if that is your preferred method of communication. And best of all, it did not cost me an arm and a leg. When you consider my level of debt (over 50k) and what I spent, I can say I made out like a bandit!! If you have debt/consumer/credit issues, call him because he can help you out. He has the answers and knows all sorts of strategies that will bail you out of whatever problems you may be having. Perhaps his biggest accomplishment was helping me to get a job where my trustworthiness was in question due to my outstanding debt. A well versed and legally scripted letter and even an offer to personally talk with the HR manager secured me the job. That was worth every penny I had paid him. I can't say enough about how he has helped to alleviate my worries and get me back on the right path. He is the attorney you want, so don't hesitate to contact him!!!
