I was charged with assault of a family member (my wife). She was mad at me and attacked me. She did quite a bit of damage to me as I tried to keep her from harming me without harming her. Eventually, I put her to sleep, but not before warning her multiple times. I then walked off. When she came to..., she realized what she had done, got scared, and called the police. I was arrested. She then recanted her accusation, and admitted I was just trying to keep her from harming me . I hired an attorney who told me that there was no way the charges would stick and was told by the assistant DA that if she would sign an affidavit of non prosecution that she dismiss the charges. Another young, female prosecutor took the case and would not drop it. My attorney had no idea what to do and did not understand why she would not drop the case. Meanwhile, the prosecutor tried to convince my wife that she did not remember what happened correctly. She said it was her job to read between the lines and decide what really happened, while detailing personal experiences in her life of being in abusive relationships and being raised by an abusive father. I then hired Morgan. Morgan is a bulldog. He got the case dismissed after meeting with the prosecutor twice. The first time he met with her he shocked her by showing the pictures of the damage that had been done to me (including my genitalia). The second time he met with her he made her realize she was in for an embarrassment if she tried it against him. He is worth every penny!

Came to Mr. Bourque with a pending criminal case against me filed by a vindictive and controlling spouse.
