To start with I made a huge once in a lifetime mistake during a terrible period and was quite possibly looking at several years behind bars. After contacting Mr. Sobel and his team my family and I went to his office for an initial visit. Right off the bat they were very friendly, professional, understanding, realistic, and can relate all of the confusing complex legal options and procedures to you in terms that are to the point honest and make sense to an average Joe. Through some miracle straight from god this man managed to save me from prison and keep me with my family with deffered adjudification. Instead of 7 plus years of prison he was able to get 5 years of deffered adjudification which is basically probation where once completed you are done and do not carry a conviction. This kept me free and working and with his reccomendations and guidance and pure determination and hard work on my part and with a strong family backing I succesfully completed all requirements as quickly as I could early in nearly all cases and paid off all fines etc very early. Then when I neared my halfway mark approximately 2.5 years complete of 5 years given I revisited Mr Sobel. He and his team got back on my case and got my probation terminated early! Mr Sobel my family and I would again like to thank you and your team for being there from beginning to end and all of your running back and forth to the courts. Thanks for saving me from years of prison. Thanks for getting my second chance granted. Thanks for all of the advice which I followed to a T and worked like a charm! If you listen to his advice and you dont make excuses and just go go go you will get this done and behind you easily. Today my family is overjoyed and crying tears of happiness where they used to be tears of sadness. Today again my family and I can't say thank you enough you are a true miracle worker!

I love Rob. I tried to hire him in 2006 to get custody of my daughter who lived with her grandmother. I did my consult and he told me I wasn't ready and sent me away. I came back a year later and they found out the age difference between me and my now husband and told me to go away again. So I married my now husband. Called Sobel Law Firm again in 2010 had another consult with Robert. He then let me hire him. It took 2 years of craziness to get it transferred to Montgomery County from Harris County. Then the ball started rolling. My husband joined the army so we moved out of state for 4 years. In the 4 years my judge made me jump through every flaming hoop possible. So many times I wanted to give up. Crying on the phone to Katina and Robert. They helped me through everything and made me push on. I did EVERYTHING Robert told me to for 6 years. I got a call from Rob for an interview in November of 2015 and went to work for him also. He is a great boss and an awesome attorney. He will never steer you wrong in anything he does. I went from no visits with my daughter to supervised visits once a month spending over $2000 for 8 hours a weekend to unsupervised visits to SOLE managing conservator a month ago. When everything was going on I thought I was never going to win this case and get my child back. Now I have my child and she is so happy to be at home with her siblings. I still work for the law firm. I love my job and my boss/attorney. Mr. Sobel will tell you the truth about your case whether you like it or not. He is a very honest man and he knows his way around the court room. He had my ex who never cries (ya know cuz hes cool like that haha) in tears when he cross examined him. I have never seen that man cry in 15 years until March 2016.
Piece of advise for anyone that hires Mr. Sobel. LISTEN!!! Listen to him and do what he says and you will WIN!!! He knows what his job is and he will get it done. You have to be the picture perfect client to get what you want. That's not Mr. Sobel's rule that is the rule of life in a case.
And Robert I want to thank you and Katina for everything you did on my case and did for me and my emotional wrecked self through all we went through. I don't think I would have made it with any other attorney. And now that I see both sides of the law firm being a client and then now an employee you guys are fantastic with everything you do for your clients. And Jason Brooks the associate attorney also did a great job on my case after he came to the law firm. He did some of my hearings and mediations. He pushed he knew what I wanted and would settle for less. Mr. Sobel only settles for the whole thing.
If you want a great attorney and legal assistants on your side this is the law firm for you. But you have to be serious about what you want so he can get it.
Thank you for reading my story. It was a long rough road but now I have my entire family together and a great job helping others just like I got help and it is totally worth it!!!

I have known Robert since 1997, during my ex-husband’s custody case. Shortly after, I began to work for Robert less than a year later. During my employment and after my employment I still rely on Rob. He is my go-to lawyer, even after 8-10 years later. I returned to assist him a few years later, and that was the best job a person can ask for. Rob has never given me bad advice. His office does get extremely busy, and every case is important to him. All client’s have to understand, your case is not the only case Rob has to handle, so please understand the environment behind the scenes is truly hectic and people do not see that. Robert and his team are well competent and realistic and will go that extra mile to make your case his priority. Rob does not promise you what he cannot deliver; and for me he delivered well, not only did we win our custody case, but I received an awesome job working for him, and he mentored me, until I departed to move away, and then when I returned for a few months. Trust and listen to him and his team. Do not get yourself sitting in front of a judge and have to explain your poor actions was my favorite quote. And still today, I use it with my friends when they are going through custody battles. Let Rob be the pit bull you want for your case. Don't let his calm, cool and collective demeanor fool you! He is tough when he has to be!! His fees are very generous, and depending on how your case goes, the prices may go up or down. That's to be expected for any lawyer.
I have always cherished Rob’s opinions, and respect him for always being honest. I think you should too.

I hired Robert Sobel nearly 10 years ago and again this year. Mr. Sobel left a lasting impression that stayed with me every time I faced self-confidence issues. He is honest, professional, hard working, individual that I would recommend to someone that wants a lawyer that cares about his clients.

I am a client of Mr. Sobel's and my experience has been very poor. His office is slow to return calls, if they're returned at all. You have to constantly email or call for any updates on your case, if there is any progress at all. Mr. Sobel is a flat-fee based attorney and I have found this to be a detriment instead of an asset. The price is the same as other diligent and more personal attorneys. I would not recommend this attorney to anyone.

Mr. Sobel and his team are competent, realistic , and will work for YOU. Mr. Sobel and his team are busy and working hard, so, I suggest emailing the staff and you WILL get your answers and be heard. He will not promise you what he cannot deliver; and for me he delivered well. I presented him with my divorce and child custody case, it was not an easy one, and I did not make it easy on him. Mr. Sobel, Jason and the entire staff came through for me and my daughter. Trust and listen to his counsel and let him handle the tough stuff for you. Don't let his calm demeanor fool you; he is tough when he needs to be!! I thank him and his team for not giving up on me; and, I would us them again!

First and foremost, it took years to get my case over with. After not being contacted with any updates with files not being submitted, emailed, fax, or just forgotten by his staff. I found myself doing most, if not all of the leg work. Don't try to call his office on a Friday, lunch brakes take half the day. A answered phone call will be met with multiple, I didn't forget about you, just one sec, Robert is in a conference with another client or the ever most frequent... oh he just stepped out and well be back soon. This was no matter what time of day I called. I could understand this happening to a point, but not when I'm asked to call to discuss my case. After having multiple court dates fumbles, I was overcome with doubt and had thoughts giving up. Luckily the great state of Texas has it's own laws and services , who intervened to be the final blow to ensure my victory. In all, after the state gave me win. His staffs insufficient attention to detail, punctuality with processing froms prolonged my case for many months. It is no wonder I came out on top.

I believe Mr. Sobel really went the extra mile to bring my case to a successful conclusion of "case dismissed." He didn’t go for a quick and easy lesser charge; he worked through the data and used his many years of professional insight to bring about the successful conclusion.
Other aspects I noticed about the development of the case and Mr. Sobel:
** Good at explaining legal issues in lay person’s terms.
** Knows how to use professional strategies that win and have integrity.
** Saw the incongruities in the felony charges and negotiated very well
** It was my only experience with any criminal issues and I needed hope and direction. Thankfully it was well provided.
** Extremely grateful to Mr. Sobel and his staff including Jason.
