I am a trial attorney. I represent people harmed by the negligence of others. My personal injury and wrongful death practice includes motor vehicle and truck collisions, auto-pedestrian collisions, medical malpractice, industrial and workplace accidents, sexual abuse by clergy, and maritime litigation. I have been practicing law since 1991. For the first 19-20 years, I was a partner and associate at law firms primarily representing defendants in personal injury/insurance defense, commercial, residential and commercial construction, and insurance litigation. During that time, I also represented plaintiffs in personal injury and employment litigation. I then spent eight years with Perdue & Kidd, exclusively representing injured people. I became a partner at Kherkher Garcia Fass Hawley, LLP, in 2019.
I am Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, have consistently be named a Texas Monthly Super Lawyer, and am a proud member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Government and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, before attending South Texas College of Law. During my studies there, I participated in moot court and mock trial. I received my Juris Doctorate in 1991 and became licensed to practice law in Texas that same year. I became licensed to practice law in New Mexico in 2016. I am also licensed to appear before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern, Western, and Eastern Districts of Texas.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf and exercising. I have served for many years as a volunteer at the Houston Open and on the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I am a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Barbecue Cook-off Committee. My wife, Paige, and I have a son, a daughter, and a Labrador Retriever.
