Mr. Haroen Calehr represented my wife in her k-2 to perminent resident adjustment case.
Mr. Calehr is not only the very best immigration attorney I have ever met, he is also an amazing individual with a very caring personality. After hiring him, he took all of our worries away and kept his line open for us to ask any questions that came to mind or to assauge the natural anxiety that could potentially unnecessarily overwhelm us. He counciled us through our paper work and also accompanied us to our interview. He did a phenomenal job; my wife and I are eternally greatful to Mr. Calehr for his care, compassion and most importantly, his diligence and great work ethic!

Mr. Calehr took on a very tough case. My wife a legal permanent resident of 16 years couldn’t apply for US citizenship for reason of a prior felony conviction dating back in 2005 that Immigration officials had tagged as Aggravated Felony (bearing harsh immigration consequences).
December 2015, we took a brief vacation abroad and while returning to the country my wife was denied entry by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Houston citing her conviction record of over 12 years ago as reason of her being inadmissibility. We had traveled overseas numerous times abroad without any complications arising from this long forgotten incident and were shocked.
CBP granted her a 30 day parole to have U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lawyers review and determine whether or not we still needed to face an immigration judge. After 30 days review in January 2016 she was mandatory detained and placed under ICE custody pending her deportation.
We contacted and consulted with several top-notch immigration firms and lawyers in Houston and got the same answer that nothing could be done. My wife’s deportation was imminent. The only option given was to seek refuge in a different country.
We had grown tired and weary of lawyers and with a master calendar hearing scheduled only 3 days away, a family friend suggested we should consult with Mr. Calehr. He explained the pros/cons and his plan of action regarding the aggravated felony charge would be. I hired Mr. Calehr, next day and appreciate him taking the case with such short notice.
By all means, Mr. Calehr is very knowledgeable, professional, transparent and courteous. He has a humble personality with a strong character dedicated to his work. During the entire ordeal, He kept us in the loop of all activities via phone, text and email. As mentioned earlier this was a tough and very difficult case but he never gave up fighting. Immigration officials maintained their position that my wife should be deported, but Mr. Calehr gave all his best and requested multiple continuances while he looked for other alternative arguments to present to the court. He fought hard to keep my family together.
The entire ordeal took 11 months and my wife was detained during that period. Mr. Calehr eventually came up with a convincing argument. He successfully challenged the Immigration Judge and ICE position and won decisively. He won a case, where other top-notch lawyers had predicated we will loose and wouldn't accept representing us. My wife’s path to citizenship was cleared. She has a scheduled interview with USCIS in January and this wouldn’t have been the case without Mr. Calehr’s expertise.
We strongly recommend Mr. Calehr to anyone seeking immigration advice or have issues that they need sorted out. He not only proved to be the best but he performed his duties with such compassion and understanding to our family’s plight. We are forever in his debt for ensuring our family unit stayed as one on USA grounds. Thanks again Mr. Calehr for a Job Well Done!!

I consulted Mr Calehr for a review of my application for adjustment of status. I was not very satisfied by his feedback at first as I wanted a detailed response about my application. Although I paid for a 10 min conversation on the phone but he would usually respond by writing me an email and his replies were very concise and did not address all my questions. I consulted him because his rating was high but for a simple case of immigration I should have hired someone who would have given me more time. His feedback though was helpful but I did not like the way he dealt my case. I would not recommend him for a simple case of immigration. Thanks.

We used Mr. Calehr’s service due to my previous attorney neglected to include my wife when renewing my H1 visa. After I received my green card, I contacted Mr. Calehr and explained the situation. He immediately provided us with options on how to prepare the case in order to get a green card for her as well. He was very responsive, walk us through step by step, and stay on top throughout the whole process from preparing the necessary forms until the end of the process. Our case was approved and she was granted a green card. We put our faith in him and he delivered. He definitely knows what he is talking about! We are very happy with his service and assistance.

My daughter, a legal alien in the US, was detained by ICE on a felony charge which could result in her deportation. I hired Harun Calehr who very professionally built a case for Cancellation of Removal based on extreme hardship arguments for my daughter and our family. Harun argued and won the case during a trial, and, as a results, my daughter was allowed to remain in the US. We are very grateful to Harun.

Me and my wife found Haroen back in 2015 for my immigration to US. at the beginning we had consultation with three immigration attorney but the feedback to us was not really good. Finally we found Haroen Calehr, we had about 40 minutes consultation Haroen went through our files that we brought and told us that he had this kind of before thats make us more confidence. So we decide to work with him right on site. After we made an appointment with him he carefully review all our document and ask us very detail informations with notes. A few days later he wrote me Email saying he sent out the application to USCIS, guide me through how to check my case on line. During the waiting period every so often he will Email me and letting me know whats going on with USCIS processing time. 3 month later I got my EAD few day later I also received a mail from USCIS request for Initial Evidence (I-458), I contact him for this matter he told me he got the same thing already resubmit the document already! I was so surprised that he is been keeping eyes on my case at all the time!! Long story short during the waiting time for my Green Card (total wait time was 11 month) he kept in touch with me and keep calm me down telling me whats going on with everything. He's been pushing the case so hard after my waiting time is way over the regular time frame. Finally we got our interview on 26th of May 2016, the day before the interview we met with him and he explain us whats gonna happen during the interview and what we needs to do and to be prepared. He went to the interview with us and finally I saw he brought all our files with him it was about 2 inches thick!!!!! Our interview went really well my case got approved!!!!! Even after the interview he told me the information and to do list about how to remove condition on my 2 year Green Card!
I will work with him again when I needs to get a 10 years Green Card and also for US citizenship!
He is a great attorney to work with! Many thanks to his help!!!!!!!
