GREAT FOR PROFESSIONAL LICENSE DEFENSE

I hired Bob for a professional license defense. He and his offices were professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable throughout the process. Needless to say, it is a terrible thing for any professional to have their licensing agency even accuse them of wrongdoing. Knowing that Bob was on t...he job and protecting my rights was sublime!

Bob... Knows

Bob... knows what he is doing, and is the best at what he is currently doing... protecting you and your License. I had an issue with the Texas Board of Law Examiners (BOLE), which was preventing me from the practice of law. I was worried, dismayed, and needed help. Fortunately I hired Bob Bennett. I ...know this sounds cliche, but Bob got me out of my jam. He knows the ins and outs when it comes to the BOLE and is recognize by them on a first name basis. You want someone who is experienced when it comes to obtaining or protecting your license. There is no alternative. You need the best. And right now Bob is the best at dealing with these issues. Know that Bob is an experienced veteran and know with Bob your in great shape when it comes to your case.

Board of Law Examiners Dismissal

Mr. Bennett helped me navigate and get dismissed (pre-hearing) a Board of Law Examiners investigation relating to a law school honor code violation. He thoroughly understands the BOLE and is extremely responsive to all emails and phone calls.

Very helpful guidance

I worked with Bob regarding some questions I had in the preparation of my bar application. He was extremely helpful in guiding me on the best approach and gave me all the time and attention I needed. His experience in this area was evident. I would not hesitate to work with Bob again.

Prior to filing an intent to practice law or your Texas Bar Application, I am available to answer general questions about these forms. If a review of the written form is required, a reasonable fee will be charged. The propensity of having a preliminary determination that one does not have good moral character and/or fitness to practice law under Rule IV of the Texas Board of Law Examiners' Rules can also be discussed. This client was a Harvard graduate and even an Ivy Leaguer may be tripped up by the BOLE.

Best lawyer in Texas to represent individuals on licensing matters!

Bob Bennett is the one of the best lawyers in Texas. He is absolutely the best lawyer to represent someone with a licensing matter before Texas’ state licensing agencies. We had a real uphill battle to climb with respect to my case and we ultimately won on every issue! I cannot recommend or thank Bob... Bennett enough. Bob Bennett went above and beyond the call of duty for my case. My case was long, complicated, and involved a new set of procedural rules, two expert witnesses, and deeply personal, sensitive issues for me. Bob Bennett, and the entire staff of his firm, kept me focused for over a year and gave me all the tools and direction I needed to feel prepared for my character and fitness hearing before the Texas Board of Law Examiners (“BOLE”). One of the best things about Bob Bennett is that he is a trial lawyer at heart. The BOLE put on a good case against me during my hearing. They were wrong about me but they had very strong evidence against me. The BOLE even put on two witnesses to speak out against me – the Executive Director and General Counsel of the BOLE. Bob drew upon his extensive litigation experience and background to absolutely annihilate on cross-examination the BOLE’s very persuasive witnesses, poking enormous holes in their testimony like only an experienced trial lawyer could do. Bob Bennett’s ability to think quickly on his feet and to respond to issues as they came up during my hearing was extremely impressive (and I work for some of the best trial lawyers in Texas). Bob Bennett will represent you aggressively and he will fight for your license like he is fighting for a criminal defendant facing jail time. We faced many challenges with my case, including a new set of procedural rules to qualify expert witnesses and swear in telephonic witnesses who were scattered across Texas and New York. This was the first time the rules had ever been applied to a character and fitness hearing. Bob became an expert on the new rules. He did such an excellent job putting together the lengthy expert witness reports that the BOLE did not challenge our expert’s qualifications at all. Instead, the BOLE stipulated that our experts were qualified to testify, raising no objections whatsoever. Furthermore, we had to coordinate notaries for 3 of our 5 witnesses who testified by phone from Austin, Lubbock, and New York City. Bob handled this challenge like a pro that had done it hundreds of times before. Also, Bob was quick to think on his feet during the hearing when it became clear that we needed to rearrange the order in which our witnesses testified because of the new set of rules in place. There is a lot of truth to the statement that lawyers make terrible clients. I was a very difficult client as the case involved very personal issues and very harsh allegations. It was hard for me to stay focused on my case for the year and 2 months that it lasted. It was hard for me to deliver the things Bob needed from me. Some days, it was hard for me to get out of bed and face the BOLE’s allegations. Bob Bennett was extremely patient and very nonjudgmental. He did not let me fall apart or give up. He stayed on my case and pushed me toward the finish line. In the end, I was 110% prepared for my character and fitness hearing and it was all because Bob knew exactly what he was doing the entire time we worked together. Bob even helped me secure funding from the Texas Lawyer’s Assistance Program (“TLAP”) for mental health services. I was able to get a new therapist before my hearing, which helped tremendously. In sum, Bob Bennett is the most qualified expert in the State of Texas to represent individuals with matters before Texas’ licensing agencies. He worked tirelessly to keep me focused and was sensitive to my needs and to the personal and complex nature of my case. Hiring Bob Bennett will be the best decision you make if you have a licensing issue in Texas.
