Mr. Bennett and his staff were excellent in showing me the steps I needed to take to prepare for my BLE hearing. He was proactive in finding me an excellent internship so that I could gain valuable experience while waiting for my legal career to start. When I would discouraged with the process, he ...did his best to lift my spirits and to encourage me. I never had an issue with responsiveness from Mr. Bennett. I emailed him several times in the middle of the night and received a response within an hour. Sometimes I wondered if he slept!!! While it is true that Mr. Bennett and I did not always see eye to eye, that was probably due to the fact that I can be quite stubborn. When there were things Mr. Bennett recommended I do to aid my case, I did not always agree with him and sometimes did not want to comply. In the end, however, I tried my best to follow his advice. While I feel his legal fees are steep, in stepping back and looking at the overall picture, I believe they are necessary due to the fact that it is a specialized field to represent clients before the BLE. He did work with me regarding the fees, and when I considered the overall cost of becoming an attorney myself, what I paid Mr. Bennett is really a drop in the bucket. My result with the BLE was not as positive as Mr. Bennett and I wanted, but it was by no means a negative result. I will be able to practice, and even though it will be probationary for a time, the requirements placed on me are not anything I wasn't planning on doing myself. All in all, it is better to be able to practice than not. And my student loans support this. In the end, I am grateful for Mr. Bennett's professional and able representation before the BLE. It is an intimidating process and it does help to have such an experienced person in your corner.
