Initially hired them for one lawsuit but then I another lawsuit was filed and likely more were coming. They recommended I file for bankruptcy. It certainly was not something I wanted but after discussing it with my wife, it was the smart move because one lawsuit grew to three. The bill collectors... stopped calling and the process servers stopped coming by. Well one popped up about 2 weeks before my case was finalized but it was due to the creditor not updating the process server that I hired Peter. Peter's team walked me thru the whole process and were able to get all my debt discharged in about four months. It likely would have been a little faster but the DOJ challenged my earnings, which Peter was able to resolve. I am going to start from the beginning to give a good picture of my timeline and experience. I had known that I needed to file for bankruptcy for a while and when I decided I needed to file I had no idea where to start. I started my search online like I am sure many of you are doing. I was skeptical ...at first and wasn't really sure where to start. Mr. Weston had his initial consultation with me and he concluded chapter 7 was the right option. Over the following couple months, I gathered the required documents and filed in mid-December. I had what I considered a complicated situation. Kate, the person who I spoke with the most at the firm gave me the best service I have ever received in any capacity. If I had a night of worrying she would always answer my calls the next day and always made me feel very calm because for many like me this can be stressful. I felt like my hand was held through every situation whether that was the meeting of creditors, paperwork, and finally, discharge. I received my court ordered discharge recently, and up to this point, I consider this the best investment I have ever made.
