This is actually the 2nd time that I had to use Mr. Weston's services, hopefully the last. Just like most folks needing his services, I hit a period in my life that I was unable to pay for certain things. In specific Credit Cards and Student loans. I hired Mr. Weston about 3 years ago to handle a C...reditor that filed a lawsuit against me. The whole time Mr. Weston and his staff remained in contact with me in updating and making me feel completely comfortable about the situation. My Court hearing takes place one day and then the following day I receive an email from his staff saying the lawsuit has been Dismissed! I was thrilled to hear this as I was starting my family and beginning to recover from my hardship. My second time using the Weston services was in regards to a defaulted Student Loan. Again due to my financial distress in the past, I was unable to make my Student Loan payments. I had no idea how this would turn out, as I've heard of stories where individuals were having their wages garnished due to nonpayment of a student loan. I tried contacting the Loan company, however was told that it's too late and that a lawsuit will be placed against me. After receiving my notice for suit, I contacted Weston Legal, to see what all they can do for me. They advised that Student Loans are almost impossible to get rid of and that in most cases it's to re-negotiate and settle. In settling they told me they probably could get it lowered. The amount at this point that I owed was $10K. The process drug out for over 1 1/2 years, until my court date of 4/24. Mr. Weston attended my court date (without me being there) and was able convince opposing counsel to non suit, thus dismissing my case. To be honest I was worried for the whole length of this lawsuit, as I didn't know how I was going to repay this loan. When I heard the news I was thrilled and felt that a huge burden had been lifted. I understand that this is a student loan and that I will probably encounter this later, however for now I do have a piece of mind. Plus I know that the right thing is to pay this off, so I'm starting a small fund to potentially pay this off in whole at a later time. Ultimately I can vouch for a job well done 2x, for the WestonLegal organization. I have already referred a friend to them and if anyone else I know ever has Debt issues, I will definitely refer. His staff is top notch and they more than live up to expectations.
