Michael Weston & Associates helped me resolve a ongoing credit card dispute I had with Citibank going back over a period of several years. I had been a Citibank customer for nearly a decade without missing any payments before making a large balance transfer to consolidate my credit card debt at 3.9% ...interest. But within 30 days my promotional interest rate shot up to 29.99% almost overnight. After always being able to easily pay my credit card bills, I was literally forced to choose between my house payment and my Citibank bill. I chose to keep my house. I tried multiple times to negotiate with both Citibank and their collection agencies. This included written offers to pay the full amount due without any success. As a result, interest on the original debt kept accumulating and eventually drove the bill to more than double the original amount. Citibank reported me to the credit bureaus. However, I disputed their claims and they apparently weren't able to provide the necessary documentation. As a result, the information was removed from my credit reports. But they continued to try and collect. I spoke to a number of attorneys in Dallas, but none would take my case because I had not yet been sued by Citibank; they all said that it wasn't worth their time to get involved until that happened. They told me to call back when I was served. In the meantime, I continued to get calls and letters from collection agencies. I then found Weston & Associates on the Internet. I was initially concerned because I live in Dallas and he is in Houston. But he immediately took my case although I had not yet been sued by Citibank. I was able to conduct the entire process almost entirely by phone and email. His staff is extremely professional and pleasant to work with. I sent his office the paperwork and there were no additional fees. Then, 10 months after I first hired Mike, I got an email from his office stating that Citibank's law firm had voluntarily dropped their lawsuit.
