My son used my car and parked in a No Parking loading zone from 7 am to 9 pm. He received the ticket after 9 pm and is not sure if he could fight this. He requested a hearing so I would like to know is it even worth it for him to fight it and if ...
If the ticket has the time written on it, which it should, then just take a picture of the sign. You probably don't even need a lawyer for that one.See question

If you get good representation and "represent" yourself well as the case progresses, there are a number of options for you. Hopefully your lawyer will uncover some complete defenses for you. If not, you are legally eligible for probation. The ultimate decision will be a product of discussions between your lawyer and the prosecutor or judge.
Get a lawyer you trust. Don't try to find someone cheap. They are cheap for a reason.See question

Your family needs to pool your resources and get a real lawyer. Very rarely will a court appointed lawyer do anything meaningful for a defendant in a serious case. There are witnesses to interview, evidence to be evaluated... Have this done correctly or your brother may end up someone's girlfriend in a Texas prison. It is a very serious matter. You don't want to be asking yourself later why you let a lawyer who is paid by the judge handle his case. Get him a good lawyer.See question
He shoved his pregnant girl friend out of the way knciking here to the floor. He was recently released from prions for assualting his sister 3 years ago.
If he has been to prison 2 or more times before, his sentence will be a minimum of 25 years in prison, unless his lawyer an beat the case or get a reduction of some sort. He is in tall trouble.
The aggravating circumstances of the case (pregnant, prior assaults, maybe on parole right now) will make the case a difficult job for his defense. He needs a VERY GOOD lawyer. Do not try to save money on this one. 25 years is the MINIMUM. He could get up to a life sentence in prison.See question
My 1st DWI was 10 years ago. I just finished my license suspension for the 2nd one. I have served my time and have never failed since interlock was installed. I have had the interlock on my car since January 19th. On the TXDPS website my license ...
Have an attorney confirm your DL status and the status of any possible court order that may be lingering that affect your driving limitations. You could have a DL restriction or court ordered limitation even though you are not suspended.
Also, do not count on the accuracy or your ability to interpret what is on the DPS website. I have found mistakes on almost every client I have looked at the website compared to actual records. It is not reliable.
Get a lawyer who knows DWI and DL issues.

Ms. Henley makes a great point. You need someone to look at the situation without waking up in sleeping dogs. Get representation and keep your distance.

This This is the first time I've ever been in any trouble:/ im looking for a affordable lawyer suitable for my case and Advice on handling the situation.
You need more than advice. Advice is merely someone's opinion.
You need someone to investigate the government's evidence against you, and assess the strength of the evidence in proving that you've done anything wrong. You need someone who will apply knowledge, experience, and creativity to help you discover evidence that helps your case and to help you plan for the most effective presentation of this. You need someone who is an effective advocate who is persuasive in presenting the facts that help you.
You are facing a felony charge that could cause you to be a convicted felon and guilty of a crime or moral turpitude. You can't "afford" the lawyer you need. We can "afford" things when they fit our budget and don't cause too much disruption of our daily budget. A lawyer who you can "afford" will not have the skills or time you need to get a good result. nAn effective lawyer is going to cost you some money. You will be able to make it happen, but it will not be comfortable. It is not like an expense you can just plan for. Forget the money and get a hero in place who will have a chance at saving your life. This will not be cheap.
Many fantastic lawyers in Houston. Good luck.See question

What kind of cup? What did he smell? How can he prove there was alcohol in the drink? Did he seize the drink and send it to the lab? Does he have a NIST certified nose? Get a lawyer. And not a stupid or lazy one.
Or you can just pay the fine. . .See question

Your husband needs a lawyer immediately. Probation officers routinely bully probationers with threats as if they are the judge. Only a lawyer can help him now. He is on probation and they have him by the &*77$. He needs a big brother (or sister) to stand up for him.
Lawyer or not, only violating a court ordered condition of probation can get someone revoked.See question
