Wonderful

We were in a very challenging spot, taking care of our nephew with major behavioral problems as legal guardians. Doctors advised us to call the state to put our nephew into the state conservatorship so additional facilities would be available to us. When we call, CPS threatened us with legal action..., tried to intimidate, and were the opposite of helpful. Greg came through for us in a big way, when we needed it most. He calmed us about how CPS tries to intimidate guardians, advised us on how to prepare for court, and represented us. He was fantastic.

4 years later, I am suffering from the poor work... I hired Greg to assist me in a custody case because he seemed to be a great choice at the time. I paid the retainer, and hired him. His team went to work immediately, and I was surprised at the quickness at the beginning. Greg suffered a knee... injury and had to have surgery. While I understood this, the 'attorney' put in charge was billing to my case and completely dissolved the retainer. This would not have been an issue, except when I was called into meet and discuss the drafted court order it was entirely wrong. The order was for a marriage/divorce, which we were never married. The draft was entirely wrong, and did not hit key points discussed via email. A 10 page document was created by myself containing incriminating evidence of the mother. This was not brought into court, and a review on this website says they brought it to their case.... I was adamant about my son's name, being I wanted him to have my last name. They left the mother's maiden name on there, but assured me it was two middle names and NOT two last names because it was not hyphenated. Now I am having to jump through hoops because the state of Texas is saying my son has two last names.... They mediated and took the mother's side with his name, and I footed the bill. Mediation was 25% the cost I paid... They never finished the name change, so I am having to do it myself.

Hello, Cameron. I'm through with pleasantries and turning the other cheek... especially when your facts are so wrong. Here is the language on your order from 2018.... Name of Child .... IT IS ORDERED that the child formerly known as LIAM OLIVER OHME shall v . ~ hereafter be named LIAM OLIVER S'o'\'IWC Lio.."Y"\ 0 l \Vc..y OY\VV\-e-~W\,¥-. . ~ You SIGNED AND AGREED to the order. Whatever problems you ran into later were your own damned fault. Obviously, you tried to do things on the cheap and failed. Your problem, not mine. I helped you get the custody order you wanted for your young child and, more importantly , I put you and the mother on a better path to being effective parents. You paid a mere $2,500 and continue to owe another $1,500. So, go figure yourself out before proceeding further.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

After using another attorney for a similar custody situation, Mr. Housewirth was a godsend. There was no comparison between the two attorneys and the quality of services we experienced. Greg Housewirth is an extremely competent and knowledgeable family lawyer with a very professional demeanor. He wa...s able to keep us calm and rational during an extremely emotional and stressful time. His rates were reasonable and he appeared to be highly respected by the court. Greg Housewirth comes with our highest recommendation.

DFW Custody Case Representation at It's Best!!!

In the middle of a two and a half year custody case with the mother of my son, CPS became involved which added confusion and a terrifying element to the case. After a consultation with Greg Housewirth, I didn't think twice about retaining him to represent me in this CPS custody case. He explained the... expected events to come with a CPS case in a way that never felt like a sales pitch, but more like a a conversation with someone I had known for years who truly cared about the outcome of my case, with my son's best interests as his primary focus. His genuine care continued for over 10 months, from the initial consultation throughout the cases entirety, to the final hearing. My complete satisfaction with the case outcome and overall experience with The Firm, began with Greg and continued on by all of the staff I encountered with Schreier & Housewirth. In a contagious manner, all of the staff , from the Paralegals , to his Firm Partner, Holly, to the Assistants, and so on .... displayed all aspects of the case with professionalism, great attention to detail, superior knowledge of Texas Family Law, and excellent communication, to name a few. Myself, being somewhat stubborn and difficult at times, rarely take the time to commend a company or service after they met and exceeded all expectations.. Anyone in North Texas who might be facing a CPS case or going through a Child Custody case deserve to know the top notch experience I had with The Schreier & Housewirth Firm. My experience with their firm was as good as one can have , considering the circumstances, but the best has just began: All the years to come enjoying fatherhood, building and strengthening the relationship with my son, being the best father I know to be.

Excellent family law firm

I worked with both Mr. Housewirth and Ms. Schreier and this firm is excellent. My need for legal representation was unexpected. After my first meeting with Mr. Housewirth on a Saturday, I felt I had someone on my side. Both were extremely knowledgeable, well prepared and have expertise regarding h...uman behavior in family law issues.
