I am a native of Fort worth and graduated from Paschal High School in 1972 before earning a Bachelor's in Business at the University of Texas at Austin in 1976. I then attended St. Mary's University School of Law. After graduating and getting licensed in1979 I returned to Fort Worth where my father was a Family Ditrict Judge and began my legal career.

After being in private practice for 30 years I joined the firm of Bailey & Galyen as a Managing Attorney of the Fort Worth Office. I have committed my practice to Family Law

Altruistic, effective.
I hired Mr. Wright in 2002 at the beginning of a years long and very "messy" custody case. Not only was he effective in the courtroom, he took the time to see me and my child at a human level, helping with things as needed. He was patient when I had trouble being patient. He explained all aspects of situations I presented to him. The entire time Mr. Wright was on my case I felt he had compassion for my child and myself. Would highly recommend.

DOUGLAS WRIGHT
Filed an agreement with my custody of my son and after 3yrs I still haven't got to see him because you lied. You failed to file 1 out of 50 contempts, no such thing as perjury Texas penal code 37.02. You didn't show represent 11/22/2019 me nor file a appeal you then agreed to place my own supervised visitation which was already agreed to before trial and you already filed to withdrawal from my case and the opposing party was aware about it that is considered conspiracy, interfering with custody and malpractice what is your response to this. Remember that I have everything and I just found out

Hire someone else
Mr. Wright did not represent me well during my divorce. He gave me very bad advise and had me settle when I actually had the upper hand. I hired another attorney to fix his damage.

Dishonest and lack of consideration.
This Lawyer was recommended to me by a friend and I thought a burden would be lifted from me. It was quite the opposite. Upon hiring Mr. Wright, I had no communication what so ever with him, his paralegal nor his legal assistant. He laughed at my concerns when I finally got the "1" returned phone call from him. After he took a week to file my case, it was all wrong! It was a complete nightmare! I talked to his supervisor and he was filled with lies from Mr. Wright and was just as rude and lied as well about returning my retainer. Needless to say I paid a retainer that will not be fully refunded to me and it was in no way worth paying. I had to hire another lawyer, who is absolutely amazing.

Ineffective
Retained Mr. Wright for a family case because of his extensive experience. He did not keep me informed what was going on with the case so I could provide the necessary documentation. Was frustrated with his communication skills.

This client did not pay her bill. We withdrew with her owing us over $2,000. Then we sued for attorney's fees after which she wrote this negative review.
