I am facing a firearm export charge. I have multiple skilled federal and firearm defense attorneys. They have mixed opinions on if my charges disqualify me from rdap. I talked to a "RDAP consultant" and he guaranteed that he could get me into the ...
Be wary of these companies. Many are not reputable. The fact that they are willing to have the funds held in escrow by your attorney is amazing. However, getting into the program and "getting the time off" are two different things. You may get into the program only to find that you are not eligible later for the time off. The assessment regarding eligibility for the program is made by the institution psychologist. The time off determination is made the the Designation Sentence Computation Center in Grand Prairie, Texas. So they may be able to get you into the program, but I would venture to say they will not guarantee that you get the time off. What are your specific charges for? Have you looked at the BOP's Program Statement on 18 USC 3621(e) early release eligibility? If I was your attorney, that is what I would be doing for you.See question

It most certainly could be. The Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, a federal law, seemingly covers this kind of conduct.See question

There are some exceptions within federal law that permit felons to purchase a firearm when their rights have been restored. However, this is a tricky area of the law filled with different nuances. Before doing anything like this, I would encourage you to speak with an attorney about this matter.See question

I actually do not think this was legal. The person executing the change of address form, whether online or in paper format, is warned that:
"The person who prepares this form states that he or she is the person, executor, guardian, authorized officer, or agent of the person for whom mail would be forwarded under this order. Anyone submitting false or inaccurate information on this form is subject to punishment by fine or imprisonment or both under Sections 2, 1001, 1702 and 1708 of Title 18, United States Code."
I would encourage you to contact your local U.S. Postal Inspection Service office, as they are the law enforcement arm of the U.S. Postal Service.See question
