Brian John Willett

About me

I am a graduate of the University of Iowa with a BS in Biology/Science Education.  While I attended Iowa I served as a research and teaching assistant for the education and Biology Departments.  After graduation I attended Memphis State University of Law.  I was a member of our National Mock Trail team, graduation speaker and President of my graduating class.  Since my graduation I have practiced only as a criminal defense attoreny looking out for the rights of the individual accused.   I never was a former prosecutor who backed the lying police and witnesses one day and then claimed that I  was looking out for the best interests of a person accused when I became a defense attorney the next day. I was certified  in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization the first year I was eligble for such honor  (1997)and followed it up by receiving my board certification in juvenile law in 2006.  I am the only attorney officed in Tarrant County who is certifed in these two areas of law and only one of 10 attroneys, 90,000 total, certified in criminal and juvenile law in the State of Texas.
