It has taken me awhile to write this review, but it was because I wanted to do a good job. Carl represented me in two cases in Dallas County. I was referred to him through a family member of mine who knew him. Upon his advice, we proceeded to a jury trial on both charges. I honestly felt like I was N...ot Guilty - but I soon learned the DA's and the criminal justice system simply doesn't care. Regardless, I decided early on to put my trust in Carl and his team, and let them be the director and just tell me what to do. We ended up going to trial on the cases, and it was clear that not only does Carl put an immense amount of effort and time into preparing for trial, but he also is very skilled and experienced. He is very good at bonding with jurors, and is smooth in presentation and not abrasive. I didn't want to testify, but ultimately he convinced me to. I was elated when the jury returned a not guilty judgment on BOTH counts! Carl was very honest with me up front, all the way up to when the jury was deliberating - that he felt it was probably 50/50 that we get a Not Guilty on one, but we may end up with a guilty on the other. He was very realistic about the entire situation. One of the cases he thought we had slightly a lower chance of being able to achieve an acquittal. He was wonderful, and I was so very happy after it was all over. I trusted him, his advice, and in his team - and it worked out well in the end. I will add I was dismayed generally speaking at how our justice system works, and did my best to tell the Judge of the court and the DA's who did their part in the jury trial how they have the power to absolutely ruin lives...and it is TRUE! Even still, I was thrilled at the result, and in the end - I am glad I just put my faith in Carl and let him do his job. He is clearly passionate about his work and puts a great deal of effort into making sure everything is done right. This happened last year, and it took me some time to write this - but it was because I wanted to make sure I did it justice in comparison to how thankful I am, and the job he did for me. Obviously one hopes they will never need one - but if you find yourself arrested, I would highly recommend Carl and his office. 5 stars ++++

I hired Carl to fight a DWI charge in Rockwall county which is a very difficult county for DWI’s. It was an uphill battle from the beginning & appeared to be a seemingly unwinnable case. When I refused to allow a blood draw at the hospital the cop claimed there was alcohol in my car, got a warrant, &... they drew my blood. The results showed a 0.23 BAC, almost 3 times the legal limit. I had 2 prior DWI arrests in 2007 & 2010 but those didn’t show as DWI’s on my record because of pleas but the DA still knew what those pleas were for so they were trying to throw the book at me. My version of the events was obviously different than the cop’s & Carl & Sandy both believed my version. From the beginning they showed absolutely no doubt whatsoever in my story especially after noticing holes in the cop’s version. Carl presented multiple options to me to fight the different elements of the charge, i.e. the blood draw warrant, the actual blood draw, the results, the cop’s version of events, etc. I NEVER once had any doubts about my defense or how hard Carl was working on my case. Sandy knew my case backwards & forwards. Her attention to detail was phenomenal. She knew where small details were on the cop’s body cam video down to the minute & her attitude & fighting spirit for my case was inspiring. The event occurred in August 2016 but Rockwell county kept pushing back the hearings & it eventually concluded October 2018 with Carl winning a motion to suppress the blood draw warrant which lead to the case being DISMISSED!! It doesn’t matter how unwinnable your case may seem or how bleak the outcome appears, Carl & Sandy will fight for you. I cannot say enough great things about them.

My 19 year old daughter was involved in a senseless robbery case, where she would have been facing possibly 20 years. From day one, Mr Cedar and Sandy are hardworking and forthright with no judgement. I was extremely grateful that anytime I called, or had a question , they were there for my family ...with helping my daughter. My daughter received probation on this charge for time lapse in judgement, and couldn’t have asked for a more patient team to help my child in this difficult time.
