Case Dismissed! Whew!

I was stopped at a red light with two blown out tires when a cop behind me turned on his lights. After stumbling through a field sobriety test, I was arrested. At the station I blew a .101, got charged with a Texas DWI, and spent the night in jail. A DWI on anyone’s record is an expensive ordea...l that lingers forever. In my case it would hit me especially hard because I’d worked my way up in corporate America, in regulatory compliance, and my very bright career future could be snuffed--or at least significantly dimmed with a DWI on my record. Worse than that, my family lives in Canada, where a DWI would make me criminally inadmissible. My career and family life were on the line, and it was critical I did everything possible to protect myself, no matter how hopeless it seemed when I left jail. I needed the very best representation. After researching online, I decided to go with the Wilder Firm. Doug’s experience, specialization, and excellent reviews sold me on him. He and his staff were always friendly, responsive, and communicated the complexities, nuances, and strategy options for combatting this charge. They handled the administrative work, and set up a login to their website so I could always access case documents, calendar, receipts. Having someone to answer my questions and address my concerns was comforting. I felt they understood my case. The process did take a long time--court dates were set, then extended. Sometimes by Doug, other times at my request. I travel a lot for work and personally, and Doug’s team helped guide me through travel requirements, re-schedule court dates, and navigate other restrictions. When it came time to decide to fight it, I wasn’t pressured. The case against me seemed ironclad, but the stakes were high and I had to take a chance. At my second last court date, I was prepared to plea...but at the last minute, I knew I’d regret not taking the chance. Doug got the date pushed back 3 months and asked how I wanted to proceed. I told him I wanted to fight this...and so began the motions. Almost two years to the day of my arrest, I met Doug in the courtroom after he’d disappeared to talk to the judge. Ready for trial, I said nervously, “We gonna do this today?” He said, “ I’ve done my part....they’re going to dismiss your case.” Words can not describe my gratitude. I highly recommend the Wilder firm. I was very happy with them throughout the process (and especially the outcome!). And if you do hire them and they get you that second chance--stay sober behind the wheel always!

When you need the best.

Doug Wilder is considered by many, including myself, to be the best DWI lawyer to be had. Doug carefully considers all the aspects of a case, including possible ramifications that may result, which others may not take into account. He will then advise accordingly making sure that the client fully ...understands all of the issues involved.

Incredible job.

I seriously thought i was screwed when i got my DWI. I didn't know what to think, who to ask for answers for any of my questions, or anything about this entire process. Thankfully I was referred to Doug by family, and i couldn't be happier with that choice. I was pulled over and arrested for a DWI, a...dmitted to drinking on video, and had a blood test come back with a BAC of .132. Doug and his team's knowledge of the law is impeccable. With his knowledge, we were able to get a Not Guilty verdict based on a technicality. 10/10 would (hopefully not have to) hire again.

Case Dismissed - Thank the Lord and Doug!

I had so much fun at my company's crawfish boil, I never made it home that night, whomp whomp! Instead I found myself swimming in a whole lotta trouble with the local police dept and facing a DWI charge. I was completely overwhelmed and terrified of what was to come. So I sought out in search of a la...wyer, someone to bat in my corner. After interviewing a few lawyers (all high profile), I chose Doug because he took his time when consulting with me, and I felt reassured by his expertise and demeanor (think traits of a good attorney). Best decision ever! My license was NEVER suspended from the ALR hearing and eventually my case was dismissed. Absolutely the best outcome I could've asked for considering the circumstances. I highly recommend Doug. Choose Wilder! Oh and I like Judy too, she's awesome.

Thank god for Doug and his expertise.

I had a DWI/2nd Offense and was devastated, scared, and lost. By far, my best decision through this whole process was engaging Doug Wilder. From Day One, he and his outstanding associates calmed me, walked me through alternatives and suggestions, were there every step of the way from the beginning, ...through my court date, and afterwards. As I went through the various steps of the process, I talked to many of the people in my same situation and it was clear that Doug's outstanding service to me and my case is not the norm, at least from my peers. Talk of no response from their attorney, no help, no advice, and most important to me, no compassion to these peers' situation and willingness to help. Doug was a superstar and that's not only my opinion. At my Occupational Drivers License hearing, in open court, the judge addressed me and said "I hope you know you have one of the finest attorneys in the State of Texas. Follow his advice and you'll be ok." I couldn't have said it better myself. And a shout-out to his paralegal Rebecca. I will be forever grateful to both. Daniel - Dallas
